I have a few friends who are afraid to tell their parents their an atheist. I'm sure we've all seen the posts about this too. dkdk999I told my parents at one point I didn't believe God existed. They shrugged. Though, I now do believe (not for some divine reason or calling, I just do for a reason I don't understand fully). I'd assume I'd take the same stance. Shrug, and say "Pass me the remote"

This and the money fact are the two most interesting in thread.The notion that a mother bird won't accept a chick after it's been picked up and put back in the nest by a human is a complete myth. Birds have an extrememly underdeveloped sense of smell, and so cannot detect the scent of a human on the chick. Even if it could, there would be no inhibition towards caring for the chick.
