@luert: I not saying they won't make a good game, I have just got burnt so many times in the past where they spend so much time talking up a game with no actual proof. I guess I just remember a time where designers show you the product. and have they been chatting a while on this one :0)

I don't have a problem with monthly subs, If the purchase cost is reasonable and if when the initial costs of the game is paid for, updates and additions are free.

None of this Now free to play bull, two months down the road NEITHER !!!

@ShimmeringSword

No, because that's a boring dull report.

But there is a difference between emotion and constant volume.

For example: If you hear the beginning to war of the worlds (either original or new film) at the beginning there is emotion but my ears wasn't ringing at the end of listening :0)

Not a bad review by any means - JUST LOUD :0)

@FkThisName

I can only comment on what I have seen on game vids and experienced on the Beta (So I may be wrong) the events will obviously repeat but will effect the environment, I.E. If you kill a boss in an area the surroundings will stay much the same but if the boss wins the area will change accordingly. Furthermore, I thought the more people join in on a world event the larger the event becomes with reward tokens for the amount you due during the event.

I'm not saying GW2 is the best game ever but do feel (in my opinion) there are loads of events that make the gamming experience feel more sand box and less of a grind.

They have at least seemed to listing to what the average MMO gamer wants where you can join instances without 30 mins of spamming for a group or racing to a node to harvest before some other gatherer grabs it and receive and complete tasks in a area instead of constantly seeking out NPCs.

The fighting requires you to physically dive out of the way of the enemy and not rely on loads of key bashing with new abilities on each type of weapon which develop as you fight. Its more skill than stat related.

The crafting seem fast and simple.

Again - this is purely my impression but I personally haven't seen these ideas before.

My opinion:-

SWG: Was good but changed drastically to keep up with WOW.

(although I played post-nge for a year)

WOW: Was fun but got annoying how every other month the stats kept changing.

SWTOR: Was just dam boring and kept going on and on and on.

TERA: Has great graphics, sound and fighting engine but feels like a grind.

@moniso Have you seen Guild Wars 2 ?

Most of the above should have been ticked (marked). Including: No Subs and joining in world events without grouping.

I'm not disagreeing with what you are saying nor do I believe you are star struck with this game, I'm just stating from my perspective things don't usually change to such a degree from being a poor game to a fantastic game after launch. Its not meant to offend you in any way, since I clearly dislike this game.

This looks like an interesting one :0)

Don't get the negatives - "ITS A GAME" - I believe the age of the player should be controlled but for adults this seems mostly tong-in-cheek, surely its meant to be humorous not shocking ??

I agree - if there are minor problems I.E. A sticky quest, poor drops or timing issues, but if the main game engine is poor or the feel of the physics within the game is broken - a hundred patches wont change the main engine. Normally you have to start with a good game that patches improve.

I don't really get why so many people keep standing up for this game, thinking it will get better. It is - what it is :0)

I realise many people will ignore the terrible engine and enjoy the story and atmosphere but to make excuses for poor graphics and a chunky remote engine because its a MMO is a poor excuse, especially when games like Tera and Guild Wars 2 seem to have a really good fighting engine with fantastic graphics (in my opinion).
