The description above makes it sound like the first Ni No Kuni was a failure - yet Gamespot gave it 9/10!

The first game was fantastic and the battle mechanic, in my view was excellent and the closest thing we've had to a Pokemon RPG to date. - It wouldn't surprise me if the new Pokemon Switch RPG has a lot of Ni No Kuni elements in it.

I applaud a studio for constantly innovating to improve and I'm not writing off the new battle mechanics until I've seen it first hand but this fundamental change does worry me

"Is it worth my time to journey into the unknown for hours in search of treasure that may or may not exist?"

- This line can perfectly describe human existence. Philosophy has spend centuries wondering the meaning of life and recent games have trained us to, "go here" and "do that". Maybe it's us that needs to fashion our our objectives in No Man Sky and see where it takes us?

Reminds me of the fun I had with Rival Schools back on PS1!

Given the breadth of Pokemon it'd be great to have move on the roster, especially after Nintendo showed how good it manages DLC in Smash Bros and Splatoon!

If the developers release patches to fix the bugs will Gamespot be increasing it's rating?

It's strange that a game with so many negative points gets a 9?

Is this a hype inflated score as new Tomb Raider scored the same with fewer negatives.

Like the review, very succinct and flows nicely. Some Gamespot reviews have focussed to heavily on certain aspects but this seems to cover everything. Hope the PS4 version isn't really a year away! :(
