$30 for optional SONY branded HDMI cables isn't bad - Monster HDMI cables can go for $100+, companies just do this to make money off foolish consumers. At least its not like Wifi on another console... $100 for a wifi adapter...

I like having collectibles in games -- though i do wish developers would help us finding some them, like the blast shards in infamous. It sucks having 3 of them left and not knowing where to look -- if the game gave out some hints (it could simply tell me which islands i have found all the blast shards on thus reducing the area i have to search) then i would be happier.
It is only the end of the current story arc. Insomnaic may or may not make more R&C games after a crack in time is released, but i wouldn't be surprised to see them choose to make Resistance 3 then some new game before returning to ratchet in a few years.
Well i can't state when ill buy these games or if ill buy other first since alot depends on release dates / how i feel at the time.

SONY doesn't have a mascot -- we get new IP's with new characters which all could become SONY mascot multiple times per generation. It is truly one of the great things about playstation - instead of thinking of Masterchief or Mario everyone thinks of a different character -- it may be Spyro, Crash, Cole, Kratos, Jak/Daxter, Ratchet/Clank, Snake, Cloud, Sackboy(or sackgirl) or who ever. Playstation has a mascot for everyone.
Maybe -- i've already beaten Uncharted several times (3 or 4 times when it was released + 3 times after trophies for it came out) so it'll depend on what other games are out at the time. (I might be replaying Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction / Quest for Booty / A crack In Time since i love the ratchet and clank games)
inFamous and GTA4 are both great games but id go with inFamous at the moment. Playing through the game (doing both story missions and the fun optional side missions as both good and evil while trying to collect all 350 blast shards and 32 dead drops is very fun and should take around 40 to 50 hours (second playthrough is easier since you know what your doing / what is going to happen next). GTA4 is fun but i personally found that once you complete the 90-odd story missions the there really isn't much to do in Liberty City. So GTA4 will net you around 40+ hours to complete the story missions / play mini-game(darts/pool/etc) / other activities but you won't have as much fun as you will playing infamous.
imo it depends on the game, game genre, replayability and the player Having said that i like games to offer me 20 - 40 hours of fun to be worth a full price tag (for cheaper games ill accept that i may play them less). This is why i feel Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction or MGS4 are probably the games that have given me that best value this gen.
