PS4 is AMD Janguar APU with the following primary changes: 1) Obvious GDDR5 system memory controller, 2) extended GPU system memory bus, 3) Selective Comput-Unit write-through cache, 4) extended graphics pipeline for more efficient rendering for things such as triangles that are smaller than a pixel 5) Extending the command sources used for dispatching rendering steps 6) Various dedicated chips like a low power networking CPU for downloading updates, dedicated hardware for zlib and other compression/decompression algorithms. It will most likely not have PS3 backwards compatibility, and will probably rely on Gakai for "On-Live" type streaming services.

Now answer this question, Mark Cerny has been a software game programmer most of the time and primarily has knowledge on the software front and little mandatory hardware knowledge. What the **** makes him think he can outdo AMD's engineers?
