Those of you who came back to my page in the last few days might have noticed that my previous blog is missing.
I called someone a lunatic on my blog, so the moderator deleted my entire blog post, and suspended me.
A PM asking me to edit the post would have sufficed, and I would have complied, but the mod (whoever he/she is) felt the irresistible urge to impress their authority.
This got me thinking.
Why am I contributing to this community? I don't need to put up with their draconian policies. I am not defending my action. I was fully aware of what I said, but the way they went about it felt like they were invading my private space.
Then I came across this message:
Its the "enjoy having your community privileges" part that bothered me. Then I realized that it won't take much to lose those "privileges" here. As long as you bow your head and walk straight, things are going to be fine. Disagree with someone over something, then the fun beings. I mean the true nature of the place can only be judged on how they deal with people they disagree with.
In trying to enforce rules, the mods have turned into bullies themselves.
The community is taking itself too seriously, and the this whole "respect" business has gone too far.
So I am moving on. I have created a new blog, README.TXT (that's the name of my new blog). If you want to keep up with me, you can just add my feed to your browser. Its essentially a live bookmark.
My reviews, if I chose to write anymore will be on Game Scores.
I will most likely be reading all your blogs and posting in the Pc board (at least for now), so there will no need for tears, I am not completely leaving. I just won't be contributing to this website in terms of content.
