Quick Update 3/27

Hello all,

I've been lurking around on the website for a few days now. I wanted get back into gaming like before but life is really busy these days. Got too many things to do. In case you all are wondering, I did get the job - I am a part of the working class now. It feel really good to have some financial independance.

I've been playing FEAR whenever I have time, and my word, I am surprisise how good the game is. I played the demo of FEAR 2 and its only a shadow of its former self. Its unfortunate, but I suppose we have to deal with it.

I've also been thinking of buying this:

Razer Lachesis

Its a Razer Lachesis. It costs $50, and I got the money, but I am not sure if its better spent elsewhere.

Other than that, life is going on alright, and I am going to try and reconnect with my friends here on GameSpot again.

You all take care and I will see you soon.

Just a quick hello...

Life has changed so much since graduation.

Graduation

I have not played a game in months now. It feels strange to spend time on GameSpot. I've been away from gaming for the longest I've ever been since 2001. The strange part is, I don't really miss it. This is probably a good thing. I've really got more important things to do.

I am at the brink of getting a job. I hope this works out. I need to move on in life.

I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope 2011 has been good for you so far.

Take care everyone and see you around.

Happy New Year - 2011 Edition

This is going to be really short folks. Life has been busy. I graduated college. Looking for a job now. I have been traveling a lot the past few weeks. Will post more soon.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years.

Take care.

Given The Gift of Game

Given The Gift of Game

I want to give a shout out to my friend JackBurton. He gifted me S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Pripyat the other day over Steam. I am super excited about playing it. I'll probably get to it as soon as I finish Mass Effect 2 followed by Vampire Bloodlines.

I wanted this game for a long time, but money has been hard to come by. Thanks again Jack, much appreciated.

Well well...

I am back from the dead. There has been a misunderstanding and thanks to the efforts of a moderator, it has been resolved.

Must say its good to be back here. I am going to check out some blogs. Life is back to normal.

I hope everyone is doing well. See you around.

Career Issues

Hello everyone.

Not sure how many of you all still remember me. I haven't been spending too much time on here. I have a lot of things going on and I need to stay on top of things.

I wanted to give you all a quick update. Life is busy at the moment, and I have to take care of some very important things, so this is going to be one of those I'll-be-leaving-for-a-while blogs.

If I am not reading your blogs, believe me, I have a very good reason. However, I will get back to this once life settles down. I will be on Xfire occasionally, and if you need to get in touch with me, feel free to email me.

Take care everyone, and all the very best!

See you soon!

Long over due update

I decided I am going to post links to my blog here from now on - might as well. So those of you who are interested can read it. I will have the liberty to express my liberal view points without having to worry about losing any more Bart bucks (Gamespot points)

I also finished the review of BioShock

Unexpected Turn of Events Part II

Those of you who came back to my page in the last few days might have noticed that my previous blog is missing.

I called someone a lunatic on my blog, so the moderator deleted my entire blog post, and suspended me.

A PM asking me to edit the post would have sufficed, and I would have complied, but the mod (whoever he/she is) felt the irresistible urge to impress their authority.

This got me thinking.

Why am I contributing to this community? I don't need to put up with their draconian policies. I am not defending my action. I was fully aware of what I said, but the way they went about it felt like they were invading my private space.

Then I came across this message:

gamespot

Its the "enjoy having your community privileges" part that bothered me. Then I realized that it won't take much to lose those "privileges" here. As long as you bow your head and walk straight, things are going to be fine. Disagree with someone over something, then the fun beings. I mean the true nature of the place can only be judged on how they deal with people they disagree with.

In trying to enforce rules, the mods have turned into bullies themselves.

The community is taking itself too seriously, and the this whole "respect" business has gone too far.

So I am moving on. I have created a new blog, README.TXT (that's the name of my new blog). If you want to keep up with me, you can just add my feed to your browser. Its essentially a live bookmark.

My reviews, if I chose to write anymore will be on Game Scores.

I will most likely be reading all your blogs and posting in the Pc board (at least for now), so there will no need for tears, I am not completely leaving. I just won't be contributing to this website in terms of content.

Fallout 3; Level 37

It was my birthday yesterday and my significant other gifted me Fallout 3 on Steam. It was a complete surprise. We were talking on Skype like usual, and I was interrupted by a phone call and while I was at it, I received an email about a gift from Steam. That made me really happy.

Other than that, we had severe weather here today with lots of snow. That's a little uncharacterstic considering that the rest of the week, we had great weather - in the 60s and 70s. So I ordered pizza and stayed at home for almost the entire day.

I am downloading Fallout 3 right now, 89% through. Will try it soon.

Just thought I'd let you all know about the game and the wonderful gesture.

Have a good weekend everyone.
