That was my exact impression.

It was very "Demon's Souls" in the feel with this game, something quite distinct from all the other souls games.

Bait and switch. Really how can you try to pass off Nintendos actions as a bold move when if they were not in a situation where the Wii U was failing and had monstrously big announcements they would be all over those so called "press conference shenanigans".

This is no more than a retreat from embarrassment knowing that not only are new high power consoles are going to be shown but also a wealth of new exciting next generation games. No **** Nintendo is backing down from the even, that's not a bold move it's just smart to step down when you would look bad by virtue of comparison.

lol from this trailer you can tell they are trying so hard to make this game like MGS and failing just as hard as they are trying.
