The story wasn't exceptional, but it I thought it was enjoyable. I definitely didn't consider it worse than the last game's story.

I have both, and I like Days of Ruin better. The battle mechanics flow better in Days of Ruin, and the CO Powers can't single-handedly win a fight like they can in Dual Strike, which resulted in a few surprising losses. Additionally, there is a greater balance of land and air troops in Days of Ruin, due to some new units. On the other hand, Dual Strike has some unique two-screened missions, which can either be really fun or disappointing, depending on how your partner's AI handles the upper screen.

So, if you're asking me to recommend one to you, I'd choose Days of Ruin.

I bought a LAN adapter, and it definitely wasn't a waste of money. My connection speed is at least ten times faster.

Protothea. Fun the first time, but I have a sinking feeling that it won't ever be fun again.

Has anyone noticed a slight difference between the old Wii Sports copies and the newer ones? For instance, I've only tried boxing on a newer disc, but I noticed that there are little sparkling dizzy-symbols floating around the heads of knocked-down Miis, and that there are also instant replays of KOs. Are there other differences, and if so, do they warrant trying to find a cheap used copy of the newer version?

Okay, I'll look around for that. Thanks for the tip.

Yup, Bano's right. Serial numbers are used to track unique items, so each unit should have a different number.
