"Am I the only one to notice that the Prey framerate on Xbox 360 sucks? I'm not advocating Prey on the PC, since I prefer console gaming. But Prey (and the Quake 4 engine) pretty much sucks, framerate-wise. Guess I'll stick with Battlefield 2 for now... " theoxlo: I completely agree with you. The framerate for doom3 engine on the 360 so far has been horrible.

"lol... Well, from what I made sense of... I do NOT believe you when you say you can build a 3ghz machine with a geforce 7900, 1gb memory, a decent harddrive, a good dvd drive, 5.1 soundcard, keyboard/mouse, etc etc. for 500.00... The videocard alone would chew through that fantasy number you quoted. And as far as the quality, you sound like you had a placebo effect. Thats all I will say." sorry that you can't read. I'll put it in plain english. I have a 2 year old computer that has components in it that add up to no more than $500 that can run the PC version of Prey on my actual HDTV with crisper, cleaner graphics, and framerate, than the 360 version. As much as I love my 360, I'm not going to bow to the fanboy statue of idiocy when I can see with my own eyes that it can't run Prey better than my PC. I'm rooting for the 360. I just think this game didn't bring out the best in it. I blame the developer, not the 360.

I don't trust this test. I think they were running at hi-res when they did the test. I have a 2 year old computer and hooked it up via DVI to my hdtv running at exactly the same resolution as the 360 version for an accurate test. My results on the PC were much better than their representation and the texture quality on the PC version was loads better. You can get all the parts for my PC setup BTW for $500. believe what you will, but my results were far more distinguished.
