Like they are encouraging sin, tempting fate and devaluing their bodies for attention.

A self-defense killing isn't a crime. The dude's head was being slammed into the ground. NOt only that, but the the shooter was Hispanic, the kid was 17 and attacked the guy first. The police were called prior and an eye witness can testify that it was self-defense. People should stop making this out to be an injustice or hate crime, because it's neither.

liberals... that's pretty much it. Most personal problems in the world can be overcome with perseverance.

[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"] Given the fact that the only way to circumvent it is through either amendment or controlling senate +60 seats, house and presidency, I'd say there's nothing anyone can do to stop it from taking into effect.DroidPhysX

Oh I'm not too worried. Sure we lose this round, but do you honestly think that system is sustainable? Medicaid/Medicare is dying, Social security is dying, welfare is dying. Social programs enacted by the mentally inept for votes are doomed to fail. We're only getting more into debt, and that won't change if the government keeps pulling things like this.

Considering the fact that the majority of the American population favor these social programs, they're not going anywhere, anytime soon. And the only problem with the health care law was that there wasn't a public option among other things.

I will close with this: These people who want to regulate your insurance tried to pass SOPA. Do you honestly trust such out of touch individuals with your well-being?

Their goal is to get a 'fair share' of corporate revenue. Hypocritical considering how few of them actually pay taxes. My gripe with them is that most are over-privileged twenty somethings who left a tent-city in wall street so they could go get some starbucks. They act like the represent the working poor, but most are middle-classed college students who want to feel apart of something special. Any person who says they know what it's like to be poor in a first-world nation should stop twittering and go see what other nations have to deal with.

I love ice cream. That doesn't mean I'll have it when I can't afford it. They don't even work now, so I'm not sure why you think all the love and support in the world will keep them going. Enjoy ruining liberty in the mean time; glad to know you value feelgoodism over fundamentals.

[QUOTE="buldog300"][QUOTE="DroidPhysX"] Being reactive instead of proactive? That's possibly the worst thing one can do to ones health. Just because you're healthy doesn't mean you don't need health insurance.

DroidPhysX

Let me say this one final time. It's my damn prerogative. Not yours, not the government's, not the hospital's, it's no one's but my own and that's the way it should always be. If I want to chain smoke and eat transfat all day without insurance then I deserve to die horribly, but it was my choice. You support abortion right under the guise that it is a women's right to choose, well wheres my right to choose what services I get to use?

And the people that actually work minimum wage jobs to support their families but don't have health insurance also deserve to die horribly? Not sure how chose got into this conversation when the majority of the uninsured can't afford health insurance. They didn't choose to not get health insurance. They can't get health insurance.

This is a first-world nation. If you didn't finish highschool, why should I pity you? Every person in this nation has a chance to excel. If you choose not to, then it is not my job to prop you up. It is not my job to be a second father to your family. It is not my job to do more than help ensure your liberty. Call me heartless all you want, but ideology like that leaves us with a $15 trillion debt and more bureaucracy and red tape than this nation can sustain.
