Screw the Vita slim. Sony is supposed to be improving the Vita with the later versions, not ditching the OLED display for crappy LCD. They should have also added hdmi output, instead of focus solely on cost cutting. With the psp, Sony tried to improve the visual quality with the newer models, not make them worse. I'm getting the first gen vita instead.

You can thank all the pirating for all these draconian restrictions. Pirating basically killed the original xbox, so can't blame Microsoft for trying to protect their intellectual property, and developers for wanting a share of used game revenues that leeches like Gamestop take all for themselves. Maybe gamestop will stop gutting their games and try to sell us used titles as brand new.

It's only leeches like gamestop that profit off the used games market. I rather support the developers instead, so I don't have a problem with this idea.

It's true that Nintendo has been behind the technology curve for quite some time now. Like Sega, they should focus all their efforts on their software franchises, where they are strongest.

@lance_7 And you can't project your situation onto everyone else, either. I don't know what isp you have, but there is always some downtime, and if you have a crappy service provider like a cable company (like most people), then your service isn't going to be close to ideal. And there are still a ton of people who are stuck with a single service provider and don't have an alternative option, such as FIOS.

These software companies are catering to the mainstream population, not a minority (and I don't believe you don't have any downtime - you probably just aren't online when it happens)

Blame the pirates if they implement a draconian used game lockout policy. If pirating didn't cost the game industry so much in loss revenues, they would never have to do this...

I came here and found out that ign is being sold, and then I went to the ign website, and they don't even have any articles on their main page about this (and they generally have updates throughout the weekend)

It's so stupid to have to browse and buy through the cumbersome ps3 store when other services had had web based functionality for years. Don't know why it took so long to incorporate.
