[QUOTE="br0kenrabbit"]Blaming piracy for market ills is dumb, but I'm still all for hanging pirates. We've got a few here at GS as I've seen SteamDown in a few peoples desktop pics. I'd like to beat every one.Tiefster

Just because you have a torrent client or an image mounter doesn't mean you pirate. Many sites offer legal files for download via torrents and certain PC utilities require you to mount them or burn them.

I said STEAMDOWN, which has only one purpose.

Interesting...

Not that Wiki is a reliable source of course...

When I first looked at that article before anyone responded to the TC, that information wasn't there. Someone edited it AFTER this this thread was posted.

Personality can overcome almost anything of course, but physically I gotta say hips and bum. I like my girls a wee bit heavier than most (not fat, just no ribs and hip bones poking out at impossible angles please).

Personally, these are the games that have me chopping at the bit: Storm of War: Battle of Britain Spore Empire: Total War StarCraft II Fallout 3 (not exclusive I know, and I'm half expecting them to FUBAR it like they did TESIV) Stalker Clear Skies Dragon Age Guild Wars 2 DCS: Black Shark There's a few military sims I'm keeping an eye on, but since I'm not familiar with the devs I'm not getting excited until I see the final product. But the above are my absolute must-purchase games, there are others I'm looking to probably pick up too, I just look forward to the above games the most. I'd really like a good modern tank sim. Hardcore sim, not some measly shooter.

DD. That way I never have to worry about losing, scratching or 'lending' games to people. Plus when I install a game on Steam I know I don't have to hunt down patches myself. Patching isn't hard but neither is walking, and I bet we all still use cars.

I don't blame the consoles themselves for dumbed-down games when a previous PC-centric game is released on consoles, but rather the console market. PC gamers don't won't console-style games otherwise we'd be playing consoles. The inverse stands true as well; console gamers want THEIR style of games. In the true honesty of the matter both style and function differ between PC-centric titles and Console-centric titles. There's a little bit of common ground but not much. For instance: while the majority of the console market likes whimsical games, the majority of the PC market prefers more realistic game. There's a little spillover between the two but where style won't differentiate, function will. You can't take a souped-up sports car and try to sell it to the mainstream market without making concessions. Likewise, you can't take a Geo and call it an international-class sportster without some major changes. They are two different markets with different wants and desires, and to try to pretend it's all one homogeneous market does a disservice to people on both sides of the aisle.

I have 25 games on Steam right now. Probably more soon, I really like not having to keep up with patches and such.

Fallout2, because you, the player, could actually make your own decisions.
