[QUOTE="dsan224"] no i dont kno how to DCC, what is it?

Direct Client to Client. It's an IRC thing. The best I can suggest is hop over to here and pick out the ones that appeal to you. Modding is a very personal thing, and no two serious mod users have the same set of mods installed. I've had up to 200 installed at once, but have since trimmed it down to the ones I posted before because saved games were starting to get huge and fragment a lot. Heh.

The gameplay as it pertains to the controls. Every button I use in Morrowind has the exact same corresponding button in Oblivion. I can raise my shield with the right button, I can do power swings by holding down the attack button, special attacks by moving and swinging, and decapitation/amputation finishing moves (which aren't in unmodded Oblivion, granted). When I say the gameplay is the same, I mean you have the exact same control over your character. Edit: This is after MODing Morrowind, of course.

[QUOTE="br0kenrabbit"][QUOTE="Donkey_Puncher"]

Morrowind had more items, and had a more robust feel to it.

But Oblivion is just much more playable gameplay wise and quest log wise.

I say Oblivion because of these fined tuned mechanics. Morrowind could have been better had the gameplay been better.

You can download and install Morrowind Enhanced and Combat Enhanced, and the fights in Morrowind are exactly like the fights in Oblivion. You even have 'Finishing Moves' such as amputation and decapitation.

I owned and played Morrowind 100 percent of the way through.

It didn't feel as alive and the gameplay was definately not the same.

Just get over it, some people like Oblivion better. If they didn't have leveled loot and animals, I would say resoundly Oblivion is better.

Personally I hope the next installment combines both of their strengths and gets rid of the leveled loot system.

I don't quite understand your reply to me. I was doing nothing more than passing on information. He suggested that he would like Morrowind better if the kind of control during fights were available in Morrowind as in Oblivion. It is available, so I passed along that information. Edit: And I was intending to double-quote rhaigun in my response, so the above quoted is in response to his post as well.

I can make you one. I still have all my mods burnt to CD in case I ever have to re-install. I have all the ones above, and those are the ones I kept after trying many hundreds more, so they're the best of the best...of about a year ago. Been playing other things since. It will be a HUGE file. Lemme check... 365MB before zip. That's 165MB more than I have free on my FTP server. Do you know how to DCC?

It's 'Morrowind Comes Alive'. That's the one that gives NPC's schedules. I had to think on it for a minute.

I like Morrowind better. No hand-holding, more pieces of armor (you can wear different gauntlets on each hand, for instance), MUCH more story, so much more culture in the game, political factions, man-gods, really hidden treasure (sometimes unique items), fast-travel costs gold, far more NPCs, and just overall a more RPG-oriented RPG. Oblivion is the Zelda-ification of the TES series. All we need is a Z-trigger lock and viola: Zelda64.

It took me all of two minutes to figure out all you need to do a Full Install with the Upgrade Version and no previous Windows version was install Vista without the CD Key, then re-install it from the desktop WITH the CD-key. VIOLA...full version, money saved.
