@Vojtass We seemed to have reached a point where even opening doors requires a cutscene / special uninterruptible animation to be played, interrupting the player's action.

That's just sad seeing once awesome games fall to their death.
Now that every "AAA" game has to be "accessible", "cinematic" and "social" ... with the same dumb AI, scripted events and so on, we had for the past 10 years.

I can't even stand the "lean around corner" animation they showed off in previous videos - why not just bind that to 2 buttons to lean left and right ? (I'm guessing we have to blame consoles for it and their limited input methods)

Rest in peace, Thief. (and then they wonder about not meeting their sales expectations)

@rmartinezdl You'll just end up with some wasted bandwidth and harddisk fragmentation while confirming their opinion that PC gamers are pirates.

If you disagree with their business practice, just ignore the game instead of pirating it and pick it up dirt cheap in a few years time or not at all.

Noted - Wait for complete pack a year after release, then keep waiting for it to be reduced in price, then keep waiting for it to show up in a -75% sale.

See you in 2 to 3 years maybe, Assassins Creed 4.

Stupid DLC, stupid seasons pass, stupid DRM, ... *walks away, remembering the good old times of PC gaming*

I don't really see this Oculus Rift becoming a "thing".

Can you explain to me why I would want to wear a mask with 2 tiny low res monitors 2 cm in front of my eyes and get dizzy within 5 seconds, lose balance and feel like I have to puke and become extremely nearsighted real quick and need glasses, all while being unable to "play" for more than 5 minutes at a time ?

I'd rather keep playing using a monitor and if I need that full body awareness I'll strap on my TrackIR for free head movement.

I think it's just not for everyone and not the "future of gaming", it's just an optional piece of hardware so these people shouldn't talk like this is the one and only thing that's been used for gaming in the future.

So they're collecting all that data with this privacy intrusive Kinect spycam only to do nothing with it - rrrrriiiiight.

Yet still you're required to point this thing at you or you'll be unable to use the console - This is a bit of a paradoxon.

Screw this paperweight which can't even be placed vertically.

@SteamyPotatoes That's coming from the same company that said there's 93% to 95% game piracy on PC (what a nice way to say all your customers are pirates), so I wouldn't really read into that too much.

By the way, 90% of statistics are made up anyways, so ...

@robert83a2 It's your lucky day, such a thing is actually in the works by an indie game developer and it's looking good already.

Here's the link : http://www.indiedb.com/games/dwelvers

You can even get the current development build for free to try it out for yourself.

Building areas are still too small, RCI model still makes no sense and is completely broken, trading and region stats are still bugged, agents still pick the next best workplace and home instead of persistent ones, ... the list goes on.

Offline mode doesn't make that mess any more attractive at the moment.
This game is dead, they killed the once good franchise with it, so screw them for that.
Everything EA touches turns into shit, in this case it was Maxis and SimCity.

Them saying they're listening to feedback is absolute bullshit - Fans of the series told them 1 year before the first beta already that this is not SimCity, then during the beta up until now almost on a daily basis that the building areas are too small, RCI is broken and that there should be an offline mode and what did we get - DLCs.
Never mind that the announced features of the agents and every system interconnecting in a way that makes sense wasn't even part of the released game.

If there ever will be another SimCity, they have to make up for their ****-ups real good, but as they'll remain as a EA studio I'd rather hope for an indie developer to come up with a worthy successor instead.

Worthless preorder bonus ? Check.
Announced DLC before the game is out ? Check.
Cut content out to be sold separately ? Check.
Seasons pass for unknown amount of content ? Check.
Silence about DRM ? Check.

See you in a year in a -75% sale when I'll be picking up the complete pack for around 10 to 15 EUR max.

Captivating ? Zynga "games" ? I think my troll detector just exploded.
Perhaps he should give Cookie Clicker a try, that's right up his alley and shouldn't challenge him too much.
