im thankful that I didn't buy a playstation this gen. I bought one every gen since ps3, even the psp and the vita. But this time, the ps5 was expensive, and didn't have any decent games. Meanwhile, xbox blew it out of the park with gamepass, an amazing piece of hardware at 12 tflops, tons of great games, cloud saves, cross platform with PC. I absolutely made the right decision this generation going xbox. PS5 has been nothing short of a disaster, and the only reason its selling at all is marketing. Marketing surely is great at convincing people to buy worthless stuff. Apple proved that with their iphone, and you can go down the list with nvidia, and add sony to that list too.
this is fantastic news! I hope more gamers experience these amazing games, no matter where they are. Hi Fi rush is an absolute banger of a game, and gears of war is an epic. I hope playstation gamers will get to enjoy them soon.
@blaznwiipspman1: I use gamepass as basically a demo platform. Subscribe for 1-2 months of the year, queue up like 10 downloads, play each of them for a couple hours, unsub.
Gamepass has probably saved me $800 or more not buying impulse games that I wouldn’t have played more than a few hours.
All my actual gaming is on the PS5.
MS thanks you for your business. It doesn't matter where you decide to play your games or where you feel comfortable doing it. I personally don't see the point of spending $$$ and playing on the ps5, unless your a big time, and I mean a huge fan of sony games. I like a few games on playstation, and that includes spiderman and tlou. Thats about it, so it made zero sense for me to get keep my ps5. So I just ended up selling it. Thank you for your patronage, and come again.
@phili878: it's just reality my friend 😢. I'm usually ahead of the curve on these things, and I'm fairly confident that other people will figure it out at some point. The value is too good not to. Why pay Sony $1000s of dollars when you can get a better and cheaper Xperience on XBOX, whether that's on console or PC.
@mogan: the way I see it is sort of like this...if a tree falls in the forest, does it really make a sound? I mainly play 3rd party games, indies and a few Xbox exclusives here and there. Sure, Playstation might get all the games that Xbox gets, but I would never be able to afford them or play them without Xbox gamepass. So basically, Xbox has better games. Xbox gamepass has increased gaming accessibility and reach, and that alone means it has better games.
Putting that aside, you can argue the exclusive or first party games in either direction, but nothing on the Playstation really excites me, other than spiderman. Xbox has halo infinite, master chief collection, forza, gears of war collection, ori and a bunch more.
@minder01: xbox hasn't been "exclusive" for like 5 years now. Unless you somehow think that pc doesn't count? Every single xbox game has been released on PC, and its not even the, "wait 2 years later and release" thing that sony has going on, but actual day and date release for both xbox and pc.
