Well for that matter Smash Bros. is in the same regard. I mean they could probably even bring characters like Crash, and Spyro into the fold provided Activision doesn't oppose. There's plenty of PlayStation franchises that they could pull from to comprise a roster. I want to know if it's something everyone would be interested in, and if they were who they would want to make the cut. I agree that Alloy would be a great addition though.

No thanks. Silent Hill had it's time to shine, and the last few were less than favorable. PT was the only hope for Silent Hill, but after Konami decided to trash Kojima-san Konami can take a flying leap. I refuse to support Konami after how they treated Hideo.

I think everyone is looking at Shenmue thru rose-colored glasses. Fond memories, but misremembering how the games actually looked and played which by todays standards are atrocious. It's good to take a trip down memory lane, but I have a feeling that many of you are going to be upset at how outdated these games are because they have not aged well.

I love the Elder Scrolls, in fact I have a couple of novels I am reading based on Umbriel. I'm also playing ESO with a couple of friends, and I am starting a new character in Skyrim. That all being said I also love The Witcher, and also have all of the novels the games is based on. The Witcher 2 was my first Witcher game and I enjoyed it thoroughly, enough in fact that it warranted a second playthrough. The Wild Hunt improved on everything dramatically and is such a wonderful game it's hard to not recommend.

Both franchises are rich in lore, and both are equally epic in scale. I would recommend either game to anyone who asks but, it does at that point come down to personal preference. Skyrim is more of an open-ended game with countless ways to play, whereas The Witcher is pretty straight forward.

A little exaggerated, but I understand that the investment does seem steep for a handful of supporting titles. That being said I must disagree. I think VR is going to become a staple in future gaming and it's one step closer to full-immersion gaming which is what every gamer has dreamed of since they could comprehend the concept. There isn't a ton of support for VR right now, but once the cost of manufacturing goes down, so too will the point of sale. That in turn will appeal more to the mainstream gamer, and that will in turn help support the platform overall.

When I first heard about VR gaming I thought it was a terrible idea, and that much like it's arcade predecessor would just crash and burn and all of these buffoons who invested in it would be stiffed with all these peripherals that would essentially become a paperweight. Then something happened I did not quite expect. VR rigs were starting to sell, companies were investing in the tech, games were being developed, and people started talking. I caught wind of it and decided I would no longer allow this stigma to haunt me so I tried for myself. I cannot measure the magnitude of just how mind-blowing it was for me. I thought I had seen it all, and then I felt that child-like sense of wonder that I had not felt in well over a decade, perhaps even close to two,

There are a lot of games that are in development for VR, and I don't see that slowing down any time soon. In fact it would not surprise me in the least if we start seeing conventions dedicated solely to the VR platform. I think it's here to stay, and I think it's going to become a gaming norm, and eventually we will see the day of full-immersion gaming, and I only hope I am still here to see it for myself. You need to embrace the shift, or you need to find another hobby if it suits you, but once you get a taste for yourself then you will realize what I have discussed here.

Who remembers this Smash Bros. knock-off? To be honest it was quite the gem. I was wondering, if there were a new PSASBR for the PS4, who would be interested, and who would you like to see?

I attempt to go for Platinum trophies, but I have recently started over and made an new PSN account because I have an issue with games being on my trophy list that I didn't play, or won't ever bother to play again (this is referring to my son getting on my account and playing games I am not interested in so I have given the account to him). I know I won't get every single Platinum, but trophies do add to games a whole new level of replayability.

I've been discussing this on various sites and blogs, and I am not confident in a 2020 press. We're talking a minimum of three years before we even get a peek at the next generation. The reason I say this is because of financial earnings, and the mid-cycle iteration that would cost Sony millions of dollars if they were to show their hand too soon. I just feel that it would be a monumental task to convince the general gaming populous to invest in the Pro only to announce a new platform. That to me makes absolutely no sense. They would be shooting themselves in the foot.

We all know Microsoft isn't making any dashes toward the next generation because of The Xbox One X, so why then would Sony be in any sort of rush to get a new platform out the door? The answer is they shouldn't and they won't. I see us getting a PS4 Pro Slim within a year, maybe year and a half with a sleeker look, better optimization, true 4K, and more energy efficient. That's my prediction, but it's based solely on a gut feeling. This is all from a business perspective of course.

You must take into account as well that a lot of these sources are merely rumor mills, and they stir the pot for clickbait to generate revenue for their trashy sites. So I would take anything that is being discussed with a grain of salt because as we all know that until it is officially announced then it's likely wrong. As a part-time associate at GameStop I get a lot of people calling me up and asking when the PS5 is coming out because they read about it on the internet, so it MUST be true.

UnderCroft, I too have been a long time Tomb Raider fan. I did at one point own every game, but over the years I have gradually lost them for various reasons. The Last Revelation was one of my favorites.

Absolutely! In fact it was my first home console. I lost so many hours to the PlayStation. My first game was PaRappa, and shortly thereafter I discovered a little obscure franchise known as Final Fantasy and my childhood was over from that point on.
