@charizard1605: Yes, this has been known for awhile now. It won't be out within 2 years. Probably won't release until 2020-2021. Microsoft will wait and see what Sony does with the PS5 and then counter that. Both the PS5 and Scorpio 2 will both be 9th generation systems. So yes, there will still be generations for both platforms. Switch is 9th generation.

I fucking agree
As long as new Switch games are not affected, which they are not so far, I don't care if the entire Wii U lineup is ported over wholesale as is to the Switch.
Just Nintendo trying to make some quick cash on Wii U games that may not have sold very well on the Wii U. They just do a little remastering and release them on the Switch like they are a new games. Fanboys who never got a Wii U and didn't care about these games prior, now suddenly want them for their Switch. Sorry, I don't want to play Wii U games I played on my Wii U, remastered to play on my Switch. I want brand new games on the Switch. I'd never buy MK8 or Splatoon remastered for the Switch. Games like Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Mario+ Rabbid: Kingdom Battle are games I'd get for the Switch. These remasters aren't hard for Nintendo to convert quickly and it fills the void of new exclusive IP's for the Switch. It will make Nintendo more money. This is why they are doing it.
- Splatoon is not a remaster
- You don't have to buy them if you don't want them
- Of course they are doing it to make more money, what business does things for any reason but to make money?
Splatoon 2 is pretty much the same game as the original Splatoon, with just more levels, characters, weapons, etc.... The only real significant difference is they now have local multiplayer. This is basically because the Switch is portable.
True, I won't be buying them. I'll only be getting the new IP games and real sequels.
It's not just about the money though. They are trying to increase their library as well using older games from the Wii U. Not much difference then Microsoft bringing XBox 360 games to the XB1. Increasing the XB1 library will older game. Only different is you don't have to rebuy the XBox 360 games if you own them. I own Splatoon and MK8 for my Wii U. You think I'm rebuying them for the Switch?
I find it funny that haters claim MS never has any new I.P.s but Sony and Nintendo put out lots of remakes, remasters, or Ports!
And they still release more new IPs than MS. Wow, that was hard to understand, right?
Zelda, Mario, Splatoon, MK, Metroid, Kirby, Pokemon, Pikmin etc... aren't new IP's. Most of the new IP's for the Switch (ARMs, Snipper Clips, 1-2 Switch, Fast RMX, etc..) aren't anything special.
Microsoft has brought out new IP's like Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Sea of Thieves, CupHead, Ori and the Blind Forest, Max and the Curse of Brotherhood, Recore, etc.. Their problem is they aren't bringing out enough quickly. They blew it with Scalebound. Sony rely on a lot of 3rd party exclusive to increase their library. Microsoft and Nintendo don't have a lot of that, but they should.

OP is butthurt people are saying Crackdown 3 looks like hot garbage. Why did you post this shit in SW if your feelings about the game are easily hurt? What did you expect people to say about this mediocre looking game? If this was a PS4 exclusive you would be trashing it. The only reason you're hyping this turd is because it's an Xbone "exclusive".
The game looks like straight up trash, I can't believe they worked for years on this. Infamous SS takes all kinds of dumps on it from both a graphical and gameplay perspective.
Don't think it's trash, but it should look a lot better. If the gameplay and fun is there, it could still be a big seller, even with the lowend visuals. Not sure why you even care, as you don't own an XB1 and will never get this game.
Here, lets look at some exclusives on your favorite platform that looks 10Xs worse then Crackdown 3. lol!!

@kuu2:
@kuu2: Love all the explosions and different weapons. Don't like the animation and the cartooning cell shading. Still looks too much like the older Crackdown. With all that power the XB1X has, the graphics should have been upgraded to a next-level. What they original showed the first time Crackdown 3 was revealed, the graphics were better. This is definitely a downgrade. I'm sure the game will still be fun, which is important, but visually the game is a slap in the face to Crackdown fans. The game should look much, much better. We'll see what the final result is with this game.
wow, really going out on a limb for that one
Right... I couldn't stop laughing. Michael 'Captain Obvious" Patcher is at it again. Maybe he can predict how many more TFlops the Scorpio 2 will have over the PS5 when it launched in 2020-2021.
Best looking console games will be on Pro... FACT...
Good look getting base Xbone to churn out a game like Horizon:ZD at a decent enough resolution for XboneX to then render at 4k.
Horizon: ZD isn't native 4K though. Just compare Anthem to Horizon: ZD. Developers are just starting to work on the XB1X. Within a year there will be games on the XB1X that look better then Horizon: ZD. The games will be in native 4K with high texture settings.
Lol Horizon looks better than most games even running on high end PCs. Why would a console with hardware worse than a GTX1070 make a difference? Hell not even the GTX can sustain native 4k across current games and you're pretending the X1X will on future games that will be more demanding? You people are in another level of delusion. You lemmings are pretending the X1X is like another level of power we haven't seen before. Newsflash: we have seen before a lot of stuff and much better than what it will be capable of, so there's no going to be too much jaw-dropping going on. What Horizon has on its favor is a combination of technical ability with artistic quality that makes the game impressive (even without reaching native 4k) and Sony was able to achieve that because they have a quality first party dev as Guerrilla Games that can focus all their time and resources to optimizing the game. Microsoft has nowhere near the talent in their first party to match what Guerrilla Games did except maybe with the Forza devs but racing games don't make such an impact and are easier to make look good. So no, in a year there won't be much better looking games than Horizon on the X1X. Wake up because you people are going to get massively owned for being so irrationally gullible.
There will be games on XB1X that will look better then Horizon. Anthem is just the tip of the iceberg. If a game like Horizon looks as good as it does on the PS4 Pro, just imagine what games will look like on the XB1X. Horizon: Zero Dawn would not only look better on the XB1X, but also run better. Don't think anyone will be getting owned at this point.
looks Like PS5 is going to own next gen :)
The Switch is already leading the way. The PS5 and Scorpio 2 will have to play catch up in a couple years.

remember when the Scorpio was going to come with Ryzen? and vega?
If they had went with Ryzen the console would have cost $700 and it would be considered a Next-Gen game console. That's pretty much why they didn't go with Ryzen. With Scorpio 2, you can bet your ass that it will have a Ryzen CPU in it.
Definitely take XB1X power at $500. Pretty much what the PS4 Pro should have been like. The XB1X will be $400 next year I bet.
Hopefully. Many were betting on it being $400 at launch.
I knew it wasn't going to be $400 at launch. Fanboys were dreaming on that one. It could easily drop down to $450 or $400 by holiday 2018 though.
