I built a Retropie because Nintendo was incapable of properly supplying the market. Kudos, Nintendo, you lost out on two potential sales from me, plus sales of any future retro console release I may have purchased.

These are the times when I like holding Utility company stocks. They're basically regulated monopolies, pay a nice dividend, and are considered "defensive" stocks that perform better than the general market during turmoil.
My brother in law wanted an NES classic for Christmas. He's not a gamer, but since Nintendo is either incompetent or underhanded and left the market in short supply, I found out about the Retropie option.
Because of Nintendo's lousy business practices, they'll never sell me any of their retro consoles now or in the future. Well done, Nintendo.
