"...This caused a rift in the VR community..." I see what you did there. But still I'm still vying for Vive just cause Rift made such a douche move in the first place.
All those backers are wishing for their money back...but they won't get it. At least they can have solace by staring at the 4 hour long credit sequence. It is after all, the best part of the whole game.
@Xristophoros: People who already owns current gen consoles are reluctant to the idea that their console will be trumped by the new ones. They have the feeling that the money they spent for the supposed "Next Gen" console was kind of wasted since they didn't get enough games for this gen on consoles and was expecting these consoles to last longer.
But, here's the thing. While I agree we didn't necessarily see enough games on consoles this gen, especially exclusive ones, the console lifecyle of current gen console is a standard one which is on average 3-4 years. Both PS4 and Xbone came out back in 2013. So by the time, Neo and Scorpio comes out, PS4 and Xbone will be 3-4 years old. In addition, these current consoles came out of the gate way underpowered to be even called "Next Gen". Compare that to the last gen consoles, PS3 and 360 and they were quite powerful from the start and showcased a lot of graphically intensive games running decently.
All in all, people should embrace the change. At the end of the day, Neo and Scorpio will not only benefit the developer who'll be able to utilize that extra horsepower in their games and implement more technical features but it'll also benefit the consumers who'll enjoy smoother and better looking games than ever before.
