I'm not trying to start an argument here or anything, and I don't want to sound like an elitist jerk but....NFS is NOT even close to realistic physics. Fun and good looking, for sure. Now, if you want realistic, you are asking for a very different experience than NFS. Just warning you...you may not like it. F1, as @Lulu_Lulu said, may be a good place to start, since I believe you can customize it. Start at arcade (which is where NFS would be)and work your way up to full on simulation. Assetto Corsa and Iracing are apparently very good (I'm a Gran Turismo guy, but a lot of my online racing buddies talk about those two games). There is also a new one, still in testing a bit, but it is free to play and apparently quite good....it's called R3E-RaceRoom Racing Experience. Hope this helps!

I am playing my first ever online game of madden today against a co-worker. I've searched everywhere online for an answer to this question - can my opponent see my play if I press R2 at the line of scrimmage? (not sure what it is on xbox) I like to see my play on the field, just so I can see exactly where my recievers are going to cut, curl, etc.

As a secondary question, what defense should I use against the filthy dirty patriots? I assume Brady will be good in this game....he is probably overrated in this game just as he is in real life :p

Yes I agree with the obsesssion with MP, especially online MP. My wife and I are always on the lookout for a good offline co-op game, which don't come out very often. In forza 4 they even took out offline drag racing and made it online only.

My brother and I were in a discussion with a friend the other day. My brother was saying how we both completed Gran Turismo 3 & 4 100%. (Yes even mission 34) Right now I'm working on Forza 4, neither of us use any assists and always crank up the difficulty. We both play just sports/racing games. Our friend plays RPG type games (I think he's playing Skyrim right now).

Anyway, he told us we weren't hardcore gamers because of the type of games we play. It seems RPG gamers (nerds - that's the term he used for himself :) ) consider sports/racing gamers just 'casual' gamers. We argued he wouldn't be able to beat GT4 or beat us on any racing/sports game. So, what are your thoughts : do you consider "jock" gamers more casual or feel that all types of gamers are equal?

I sort of inherited a club on Forza 4. I work seasonally, and I go back to work in a couple of months, so there is no way I'll have time for running a club. The previous leader had a family emergency and wouldn't be playing for quite a while. So, to make a long story short, I'm looking for someone to lead the club. We have 40 members, about 10 that are online almost daily and we have a pretty good group. Haven't met anyone who races dirty, and we have all different skill levels, including a couple who are very good. I can help with the transition and kind of put you into this gradually if you like. Let me know if you're interested or you have any questions about our club.

Thanks for the help guys. I managed to get around it using the spider ball track in the command center. Three very boring days figuring that out. Anyway, thanks again.

Just the feel of the games - cartoony and fun. It might have been the most criticized Nintendo system, but it DID outsell the other two, and it didn't win with processing power or graphics, it won by inginuety and marketing. Thew numbers don't lie. And the games are focused on fun. One big thing I notice about the wii is that when you have a few people over (esp. non-gamers) they want to play wii. I have all three consoles, but wii wins in a group if you want pure fun. And really, isn't that what video games are for?

I am in need of some help. I know it's an older game but I am just playing it for the first time. Anyway, I made it to the pirate homeworld, already defeated Grandrayda (I think that's how you spell it), and the metroid thing with 4 tentacles. The problem is trying to get the shield for the acid rain. I think the area is called Metroid Creche I think. There's acid rain there and a place to go through with a morph ball. The problem is here. When I go up the MB path and get to a place with a spinner (looks like a mini circular maze), I can't make the thing spin. I was in this area before and it worked fine - I got the missle expansion but I didn't notice there was more to do here at the time. So now when I go back there the stupid thing won't spin! Very frustrating! I've tried everything I can possibly think of. And yes, I do have the boost ball :). Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any 'back door' I can use in this area? I am open to ANY suggestion, don't worry about sounding dumb because I may be missing something simple. Thank you.

I believe the wii is very cool to non-gamers. Hardcore gamers trash the wii constantly, but if you look at the numbers, wii won the console war of this generation. The 360 and PS3 will never catch it in sales. Nintendo is a household name, the 360 isn't, and playstation is getting there. For as long as Nintendo is in business, they will be the name the majority think of when they think of video games. A lot of people hate the Wii, but I think it's still cool because it's different from the other two.
