Assassins Creed, which I really enjoyed quite a bit. I can see why some people don't like it, but it was great for me.

Moving on to Mass Effect now, and I couldn't be more excited for it =D

Guys, it's fake. ME has no Japanese release date yet, there fore Famitsu cannot have reviewed it, and the review is sourced from an anonymous Wikipedia edit from some troll. Just to sum things up in one sentence for you guys:

i seriously don't understand how a game that brings minor updates and steals modes from other games (infection pdz) scores a 9.5-Renegade

I'm going to give you my honest opinion here and say no. The 360 and the Wii were pretty much the worst competition the PS3 could have had.

The Wii has snagged the casual markey that made the PS2 such a success, along with the hardcore Nintendo crowd that will own it just for games from the big N. Not to mention the cheap price point that also helped make the PS2 such a success.

The 360 has the harcore market on lockdown, seeing how it continue bowling over the competitionn in terms of exclusives, features, online, and (at this point) graphics. If you're a hardcore gamer, the system to own right now is the 360, and that's really hard to deny. The hardware issues aside, the 360 is a beast right now, not to mention it provides more features than the PS3 for 100 bucks less.

So how I see it, the PS3 is kinda screwed. There are those who will stick with it, and those who will go simply with sheer brand loyalty, but that won't bail Sony out of the hole they have dug for themselves.

Maybe your hero needs to take a chill-pill and accept that some people are excited about a game. As for the fanboys... they will do exactly as we expect them to do. Just let it go.

And I talk like that all the time, so I'm not like... pissed off :P I just think he has a valid point. Hell, I'm excited about it too (Comes out on mah birthday!) but this thread is just kinda crazy.

Well, I suppose that's what happens when you funnal all of the discussion on the forums into a single thread :/
