The ability to add in basic mo-cap into your games is pretty cool.

Summary of the story
- Indie developer asked Microsoft to front $3 million+ to fund development of a new game.
- Developer pitched the game to Microsoft.
- Indie developer was not impressed with the presentation.
- Microsoft did not give the indie developer money.
What's wrong with that?
Did you read the reason given for rejecting it, that's what's wrong.
A My Little Pony game with QTEs and hentai porn might not have fit well with their strategy either, would you blame them for rejecting that too? Not every game that is pitched to a publisher is destined to be good, so obviously the presentation didn't impress them too much.
Couple that with the fact that Tequila Works' last game didn't exactly set the world alight, they have every right to be wary. They can't just throw money at every Tom, Dick and Harry that approaches them with any semblance of a video game. They'll fund some and they won't fund others. Would Sony be a white knight if they bankrolled some shitty Segway simulator when MS rejected it?
God, you people are so goddamned obtuse.
Of course, they're going to deny some games that will legitimately turn out good but they can't predict that, just make an informed guess.
@charizard1605:
I know. These practices have killed my interest for mobile gaming.
There's some really amazing mobile games, but then you have shit like Dungeon Keeper and Plants Vs. Zombies 2 (which could have been amazing, had they gone the traditional route) that just incessantly pester you for money.
The only F2P mobile game I've ever liked and played for an extended amount of time was Jetpack Joyride. That's literally it. I hate getting 20% of the experience and/or feeling I can never truly "complete" the game, even if the initial download is totally free.
I pretty much hate 98% of free-to-play games, almost on principle alone. Yes, some do it right, but most just aim to provide you with less and ask for more.
Agreed though, it's not exactly mindblowing. Haha.
Those graphics look horrible, they've somehow made source look even worse.
You could have told me this was the 360 version and I'd believe you.
Crazy how everything that's not on a Sony platform looks terrible to you, such a coincidence.
Actually looks way more boring than I thought it would. And not quite the graphical leap I was expecting.
Why do people engage with this uninspired guy, he just takes you for a ride. Leave him to his babblings.
Tormentos, you couldn't be a bigger nerd. It's quite a feat, even on a gaming forum.
Yeah, they need to go the Samsung strategy of brute forcing their way into the market.
Maybe now that Microsoft's in charge, that might change.
Or they might trip and fumble as per usual.
