What I find funny is that when people talk about the PS4 and Switch they talk about its console defining masterpieces like Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Zelda Breath of the Wild, and Mario Odyssey. The list of games could truly go on. But when people mention the Xbox One they mention services like Backwards compatibility, play anywhere and game pass...The disconnect is real.

Actually it has lost a lot of that Dark Souls charm, the best possible way I can explain this is by using one example, the bosses, think back to DS1 bosses, think about the lore behind a lot of them and how they connect to the world... Now do the same for DS2 and you'll realize that the vast majority just seem to be completely randomly tossed in with little to no actual backstory, just kind of soulless attempts to create difficult enemies rather than following a theme of sorrow connected to the sorrow filled world. That basically describes the game, the player character isn't the only one whose become hollow.

Still a good standalone game but if I had to pick I'd choose the first in a heartbeat.

@DeKuip Well let me just say i found that graphics DO matter in ways that i think would surprise alot of people. I couldn't believe when i was having freezing issues on BF4, and went to the EA Forums to see if others were dealing with the same, that "graphics" were just as much of an issue, as the freeze issues itself in the very beginning. They thought BF 3 was much better, and it WAS an issue no doubt about it.

If graphics weren't an issue, i'd be on PS2 playing my WW2 games. I just can't play them because they don't look good., and are dated. "Framerate" and graphics, and giving up one for the other, you get COD, and i think most certainly at this point, are finally realizing that's gonna have change for COD relatively soon.

You just cannot produce a game that looks WORSE than the one from years ago. The commentator never claimed the Graphics were good, he just claimed "it didn't matter". The Reviewer of this game (a self described fan), gave this game a 9. He gave the the last DS a 9.5. It's just not as good, and "graphics" according to his Review was a reason.

So look, i think Gaming Companies (and Sites) are making a HUGE mistake in taking "graphics" for granted when creating these games.

THERE IS LOVELY SHOTS IN THE ARTBOOK. IT'S A PITY. AS THE GRAPHICS ARE RUBBISH IN THE GAME. AND DON'T SAY GRAPHICS DOESN'T MATTER. IF THEY DIDN'T MATTER THEY WOULD BE NO NEED TO UPGRADE GRAPHICS CARDS. THEY WOULD BE NO NEED FOR PS4 XB1. SO LETS ALL GO BACK TO NES TIMES. AS LONG AS THE GAME PLAY GREAT. PS3 GAME I WOULD LIKE PS3 GRAPHICS.
