One thing I forgot to mention is that only 10% of Steam users have Xfire installed. Since Steam is the largest PC game retailer in the world it would be hard to credit Xfire on this topic.

The top played PC game list is totally inaccurate. It only takes into account users that have played these games with the program Xfire installed. Which XFire lends its self to different communities and is not necessarily main stream. After being involved with PC gaming for seven years I have yet to meet anyone who uses Xfire on a daily basis. I would recommend the Steam charts but even that isn't really a good source because some games aren't even on Steam, and some people choose not to use it. If you look on Steam Dota 2 and Team Fortress 2 are at the top of their charts. Each community uses their own games, way to connect, and communicate; weather it be Steam, Mumble, Ventrilo, TeamSpeak, XFire, Origin, Gamestop/Impulse, etc.... Unless they take everything into account that article is a gross overstatement. There is really no clear cut way to see what gamers are playing or even how many people play PC games to even begin with.

Some day the NPCs will be outsourced to somewhere in Asia where whole rooms of real people will actually control them; thus making them smarter and able to quickly adapt to the players actions. The downside to this is that A in AI will mean actual, and not artificial. Left 4 Dead is already kinda doing that while human controlled zombies. The next step for them is to have each individual common zombie human controlled. LOLOLOL

YES!!! DO NOT DOWNLOAD SP1!!!!! I installed it thinking "Oh Boy a new update. Maybe Vista won't suck as hard." I WAS WRONG! I'm running a 8800 GTS(640MB), a 3.0GHz dual core and 3GB(667MHz) of RAM and I can hardly stand playing any of my games anymore. TF2 dropped about 30 fps and Crysis dropped like 20. It’s really beginning to piss me off. I guess I could turn down the settings for smoother game play, but that would ruin the point of having a 2,000 dollar gaming rig. I’m even considering reinstalling Vista if Service Pack 2 doesn’t come out within the next 2 months. I already have a dual boot with Ubuntu (Linux -for those who don't know what Ubuntu is) just because I really can’t stand it. In conclusion do not download/install Vista Service Pack 1 what so ever.
