@PredatorRules: lol no I don't edit, truthfully I'm looking to get a PC just for gaming. I'm coming from the Xbox one and thought I would try the PC out. I was hoping for good graphics. Problem is I don't know crap about gaming on the PC. The stuff I posted up top was just to get some responses. I figured if I posted that I would get responses with better equipment and probably cheaper. I don't even know what half the stuff means. It's just been a while I use to play COD and battlefield 1942 on the PC back in the day.

@PredatorRules: I gotcha and I appreciate the advice. Well I was willing to spend some money. I just wasn't sure where to start as far as performance goes. I mean I can't afford the best on the market lol, but was hoping to get some general ideas and go from there. I figured I would need a better case, good motherboard, video card and CPU&PSU, however like I was saying in my original post its been a while probably like ten years since I have put together a computer and I know with the market you can buy top of line parts that won't be a year later. Now I was looking into an Intel i7-5960X 8-Core 3.0 GHz, but then thought maybe it was a bit much to be starting out with that as my first processor.
@PredatorRules: Um not sure what you mean by case module. I know its also a Dell Inspiron All-in-one. I'm of course not able to open it up to upgrade etc. When I get back home later I will see about the fans I know where to check for them. Not sure about the PSU and will have to see where I can find it.
@04dcarraher: All right so its..
Intel Core i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz I believe it is 8 thread/quad core
AMD Radeon HD 7650A
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
@04dcarraher: ah thanks for the reply not at home right now, but lets see though off the top of my head.
Dell i7-4410 or 70, 3.10 GHz
8gig of ram
1TB hard drive
I know it has an Intel graphics card and an AMD one as well. when I get home I can get the exact specs. Also it came loaded with Windows 8, however I upgraded it to Windows 10. Until the last few days it was fine, now its been freezing a lot. I managed to play Star citizen before it started freezing and it was running fine, but the problem was every time I would move to walk the mouse was playing catch up. I guess you would almost say it was like stuttering.(oh and I have a really good internet connection.) At that point I was like you know maybe it is time to invest in building one from the ground up problem is I don't know too much about putting computers together. I figured though I could Google it lol and get some advice from other gamers on here.
I'm sure this topic has come up many times, however I was thinking about putting a computer together. Now I haven't done this since high school, so I was hoping to get some suggestions as to good hardware etc. One game in particular that has caught my eye is Star Citizen and yes I know it isn't out yet and still in beta phase. Also forgot to mention budget. I'm not looking to spend 3,000 to 5,000, maybe a grand or a little more. I just kind of decided I wanted to start putting one together and go from there. The computer I have now is a good all in one, but can't really upgrade it and while running Star Citizen the mouse was playing catch up. I would greatly appreciate your ideas.
