The game isn't for everyone but it's a ton of fun and if you happen to like Borderlands you might see a lot of similarities between the two. My only real complaint is how bloody quiet the game is, no one says a word; and I have no idea why, the menus are pretty stupid but they were made with a console in mind so I'm just hoping they'll patch them. (Salvaging takes like 6 clicks, which isn't all that annoying unless you have to salvage 20 items, shit gets annoying quick) my character runs decoy and shotty with a backup of either sniper or assault rifle, Zer0 runs decoy and shotty with a sniper as back up. The story is mostly crap but most MMO stories are terribad so that's to be expected.
If you aren't sure about the game for whatever reason; watch giantbomb's play through, they talk about a lot of the issues in the game and go into pretty good detail about how the game actually is; but I'll just add this in here as well. If I'm on the top of a hill with a sniper rifle and I aim for the head, it's not a random dice roll if the shot hit's the head, it's all pure aim. Shotguns are a blast to use, and sniping from about a mile away hasn't gotten old yet. 10 hours in and loving it.
Can't people just enjoy a game for being a game without nitpicking? It's a fun game, tons of people love it; the story is there enough for that. If you want more of a story go play an RPG.
@Landsharkk Criterion Games is still there - ie. Burnout Paradise, the amazing NFS:MW; so not to worried about that. Also from the rest of that list; only Trine and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are really half way decent, and Stalker is better for PC anyway.
