I tried installing the XBox beta app, but its system check noted my comp doesn't have the "May 19th" update, which isn't available for my hardware configuration yet, so I can't install the app.

WTF microsoft.

Many things are different from country to country, and cost of goods and services is one of them, Einstein. I wish I could wake up every morning and schralp some tasty waves on the Goldie after banging a hot Sheila, but don't. That doesn't make the U.S. anti-Ausssie/anti-fun...it means I'm living the wrong life.

I never use my gaming PC to browse the Webs (I have a Mac for that--or as the kids write--MAC). Problem solved.

And, yes, good for me, and my story is cool, bro, and I do want a cookie, and no, you can't fck my sister.

For clarification, you're seeing those messages because the Steam app is apparently 32-bit. Catalina (code name for the next version of the MacOS, out in Sept) will support 64-bit apps only. So if you upgrade to Catalina this fall, Steam won't run (unless Valve updates it).

Crowdfunding has nothing to do with it. I don't care if Roberts pulled the $$$ out of his grandmother's bum. SC is what happens when you unleash a dev on a project with no checks and balances, ie, no project management or budget or agreed upon scope. You end up with a game that will be never finished because Roberts can't focus--he keeps adding features or obsessing over the wrinkle tech used in a uniform sleeve.

Can you imagine what gaming would be like if every project was handled by someone like Roberts? Jesus h., we'd never have any complete games to play.

Publishers mostly suck, but at least they keep things on track.

Star Citizen, sigh. What a squandered opportunity. If anything, SC is a prime example of why devs should avoid the PC platform--millions and millions spent over years without much to show for it, and will never be finished bc of feature creep and continually evolving PC specs.
