Not a very tactful statement. I'm sure games sell better on the 360, but it's had an extra year to expand its user base, and that's to be expected. He is right, though; there's only a certain percentage of the gaming market that can afford (or is willing to purchase) a system at $400 and $500 dollars, respectively, and Sony's probably saturated that market segment by now. Even if they do have a number of great first party games (which are exclusive), consumers often have a hard time dropping 400 for a system that at the end of the day is just for games, especially in this financial climate.

Here's to a (hopefully) stellar game. Good to see companies still understand the difference between when an exclusive is advantageous and when its better to launch multi platform. Afterall, would we care half as much about this game if it wasn't an exclusive?

It WOULD be tight to use motion controls on a real game, not just a crappy wiisports . . . . We'll se how it pans out.

Nintendo's in no trouble until MSFT or Sony decide to bundle their motion sensing hardware; if they keep it a peripheral, it'll never get fair billing. Of course, a 350 dollar PS3 with motion sensing bundled could certainly play a significant threat to Nintendo's business model.

Oookay. I'll give them a max of 6 before a new console (which is perfectly respectable), 7 before they cut production. Even if Natal works as well as advertised (and do things like that ever?), does microsoft really expect the 360 to hold up till 2015, even as a secondary platform, when it uses DVD media and only 512 RAM? At the end of the day, MSFT will probably keep their next console on the back burner and release it alongside whenever a competitor launches their prospective platform.

"FF XIV will fail on the PS3 the same way XI failed on the PS2." We'll, im not sure that's a fair comparison, given the fact that the PS3 has a very solid online network, whereas the PS2 had very rudamentary online function. That said, this 'considering all options' crap sounds like exactly the same thing they said for FFXIII, so I'm sure if M$FT throws enough money at Square (which they will), they'll remove the exclusive. Of course, they might do a timed exclusive, but what's the point? The game isn't scheduled till '2010', which means toward the end, and if they do a timed exclusive (the 360 will be 5 at the end of next year), the 360 will probably already have a predecessor either in the works and announced or on the shelves.

It makes we wonder how unqualified some of these writers are when I see them refer to "the racing line" as a Forza creation. It was originally used in GT3 (for the lower level licenses), and then the makers of Forza had the good sense to incorporate it into actual races in their games.

Seriously? How ******* hard is it to add a second analog stick to the damn thing? We're getting a smaller screen with essentially identical functionality, with a higher price tag? Pass. Looks like I won't be getting any handheld any time soon.

So is this Raiden-centered game supposed to be a 360 exclusive?

bleh. Smaller screen, no analog stick, higher sticker value . . . . What's the reason to drop money on this versus something like an Itouch (and this is coming from a live long apple hater and a general fan of playstation products)?
