I don't understand how they can give No Mans Sky a 7 and not give Wildlands a better score than this. My score was an 8.

I like the new artistic world, compare to Elite Dangerous. I love the soothing soundtrack. It has a more Alice in Wonderland feel on the planets, at least the one I am visiting now with mushroom trees. I think there is alot of depth to discover. I use to play StarFlight, the original, in the 1980s....i am older. It has that sort of feel mentally, except I am now seeing what the planets I landed on actually might have looked like. Starflight didn't have a cool soundtrack. This is an amazing feat for an independent developer to do, simply amazing. I don't see exploring as boredom. There aren't bad guys at every corner shooting lasers at me. Real space exploration would be about resources, gathering them. It is closer to a 4x game.... "eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate" Expanding would be like Destiny and building up my starship, multi tool, and exo suit. Exploit is about gaining knowledge and resources on the planets you discover. Exterminate is optional, your choice, want to be a bad killer dude, then go crazy....but not required. That is what I like the most. I hope you can see eXplore is obvious.

While I was skiing this winter here in Utah, I pretty much ignored this game. I was wrapped up in Destiny and getting ready for The Division. I had also bought Far Cry 4 on the PS4, it was on sale, cheap. I liked it but it wasn't that captivating, so I continue to play it occasionally.

I bought this game on Amazon Prime day for 25 bucks. Figured what the heck. I wanted the PS4 version, but it was quickly sold out. I was reading how the graphics were better on the PS4, but while I was reading, the deal went 100 pct used. So, I opted for the xbox version and like it.

I rarely write here, but felt compelled after today. I got the game yesterday, delivered. I had almost forgot I ordered it actually, then there it was in the package.

I put the disk in and started it up. I liked the 10000 BC setting. I had also read how they used the same basic map that Far Cry 4 had. Being familiar with the game mechanics of FC4, I quickly got up to speed.

But, what I wasn't expecting was how beautiful and captivating the environment was. Not since Turok Dinosaur Hunter have I felt such immersion in the time period, with all the ambient environmental effects and the almost constant prehistoric themed music. It really put me into the game, imagining I was a beast master 10000 years BC. WOW and the game play just kept me going, at the same time I felt relaxed like I have not been in a long time in a game. What I mean is I didn't feel like I couldn't handle anything, and unlike games such as Alien Isolation, I wasn't shocked by the gore and what was around the next corner.

What I enjoy the most in this game is hunting with my owl and companion. I enjoy unlocking taming of different beasts and going on the hunt to find the beasts.

I also enjoy the characters with their foreign language, reading the sub titles. It was a good decision to not use english as in FC4. I felt immersed in their culture and folklore. I felt like I was in another land, in another time on this old earth. Tired of guns and more guns, I like the simple weapons. They are balanced well.

That is what I wanted to say, I love this game and have not had an experience like this since Turok Dinosaur hunter on the N64. Good job! I've been playing it all day, getting up for drinks and a little food. I did manage to get my front light on my car replaced and folded some laundry. But other than that, I have been playing this game ALL DAY and last night.

I have been too busy lately with vmware certification study and just the 9-5 grind and skiing on the weekends. I also workout after work during the week. But I put in a 12 hour day yesterday. Just woke up and saw this post on gamestop, was curious.

I love destiny, its a great game that I will be enjoying for a very long time hopefully. It is number 2 next to Call of Duty III. I bought into Destiny on a Costco deal with the Taken King for $40, a tremendous value. I am still on the main game, just played a little of Taken King.

If I were to guess, the late teen and 20 something crowd isn't going to stick with Destiny simply because there are new games, fresher games, coming out all the time. One dude I work with, 27, you would swear there wasn't anything better than Destiny 6 months ago, but I have seen him go through so many games, it's been stressing his wife, he calls it his hobby, rationalizing the money he spends.....follow the money. anyway, the other comments from the other 20 somethings seem to be in line, sheep following each other, once one moves off a game, the others follow. I can't keep up, still have yet to play a MP game with any of them, xbox live friends with 3 of them now.

What has my attention are old school games like DOOM coming out in may, a must buy if it is good, and WOW, did you see the clips? Opposite of tactical. Interested in Homeworld Desert of Karach when it goes on sale, that is how old I am... :-) I came to gamestop to find out more about the new Tom Clancy game coming out, watch the 30 min movie, the 30 year old a work says it is the best game he has seen since Destiny.

Advice for Destiny, stay fresh, get rid of the grinde, more open world, and avoid the Zombies....lol Oh, costs, don't get greedy, keep costs for gamers low and make the umbrella bigger to get more involved, but avoid micro transactions like the plague.

This was misleading, it isn't a remake of 98/99 battlezone, more like a remake of a remake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HMMA7lWibA

Now, if you want to play an upgraded Battlezone 2, it is still alive an well.
