@epic_poke8: I have a hard time believing that OW is doing well. I played countless hours of it before it was called OW2 and now log in occasionally to maybe check out a new map or character. It feels like a sad husk of what it once was; there is virtually no in-game or post-game banter or interaction. You see the same players over and over again, something that suggests to me that the active player base is shrinking rapidly. For me, Overwatch was best when people used to trash talk during and after games. It felt like a great game of pickup basketball at the old college dorm. Now with the carrot/stick reward system for being anodyne, nobody talks to each other any more for fear of dropping from a 4 to a 3. Scary.
By trying to control the human interactions Blizzard has sucked the energy out of the game. Maybe people want these ultra-sanitized experiences in games, I know I don't.
