Ah, boo! Seriously disappointing. That track in Monteriggioni is still stuck in my head, years later.

Meh, I don't think it'll be too big of a deal. All the other Assassin's Creed games have played just fine on my PS3 so I have way more faith in Ubisoft's porting abilities than Bethesda (asjfaskfljfasf). As long as the load times aren't as ridiculous as my PSPs, I don't think it'll be so obscenely detrimental that you won't be able to get through the game.

Dangit, I never got the key to his place, haha, I was just like, hey, 696...there ya go. Was the key on the art collectors body? Should have gave him one more shock.

I think you'll definitely be able to play it on low/medium settings just fine. It's not even remotely taxing on my 6850 which was a sub-$120 graphics card when I picked it up...can max it out at a steady 60fps. The Q720 seems kind of goofy, since I highly doubt the game can tap into more than four cores but meh, I'd be shocked if it wasn't fully playable.

Lefty here and I understand your grief, despite being fine playing with the standard control setup, myself. It's such a simple thing to add...just a few lines of code, so it's a shame you aren't able to use a comfortable control scheme.

Hey VarHyid, this is italianoman1987 from the playstation forums. I still completely back you up as I have the exact same situation...same monitor, same completely misled belief that it would function as advertised, and same 'fail' on the part of Samsung tech-support. As you already said, the PS3 doesn't support 16:10 and the monitor doesn't display anything through HDMI properly so it seems as though people are very misinformed and sadly, this is what led me to purchase this monitor unaware it wouldn't work as stated. I keep hearing people say "WELL itz nawt a big deal yo, just a lyttle abhorrent stretching that's completely unnoticeble." Oh yeah? You're right, I'm going to buy the world's most technically advanced gaming system and a six hundred dollar 1080p screen just so i can look at somethin' kinda high defintion, kinda broken, sorta aliasing and screen tearing out the ***.

I assumed as much, I was hoping on the other hand, someone could suggest a route I should take in order to achieve this?

So here's my complaint: I have an enormous and very fantastic monitor (Samsung 2493HM) that even has an HDMI input. For some inexplicable reason, most monitors can't accept a 16:9 ratio (what the PS3 outputs and what all HDTV's use) without stretching it to fit 16:10. Now lets get this straight, almost 100% of monitors are 16:10 and 100% of 1080p tvs are 16:9 meaning this problem is very common for the large portion of PS3 users who have monitors for their higher contrast ratios and better clarity/dual purpose.

Thus, I BEG Sony to please upgrade the firmware to support a native 16:10, and or give the user the option to manually adjust the hight and width of the image output by the PS3. So a bunch of people have **** in response to my request saying, 16:10 isn't a broadcast ratio blahlahhhhhh, well guess what folks:

The new XBOX360 dash or whatever they call it will support 16:10 giving them a huge leg up as far as versatility. Does anyone else here play using their monitor and have the same issues?
