From what I've noticed, it's the lighting (and environmental?) effects, the rendering of all of the buildings, and the large crowds that are negatively impacting performance, particularly the CPU performance. I've noticed that, when using eagle vision, that the game tends to run a bit better. From what I can tell, the lighting effects are reduced when using eagle vision. As for the cutscenes, the Nvidia hair technology (and maybe the cloth too, but not sure) is negatively affecting GPU performance for lower end users. COD Ghosts had similar fur technology for the Riley dog character, but they had a setting to turn that feature off. We need similar settings, especially since they really are aesthetics and not required for gameplay.Oh, and it's not primarily an AMD issue, because it's not primarily a GPU issue. It's a CPU issue.

Again, settings to reduce the quality of the building meshes in the distance, reduce the number of people in crowds (by removing npcs from the exterior and having much smaller crowds), and reduce the lighting effects and maybe even shadows would help boost performance for those who meet only the minimum requirements.

It IS Battlefield 3 with different UI, different character models, some different weapons, and different maps. Just like COD games. It's what you come to expect from a bi-annualized franchise.

@czdesigns Not surprising as their other PC games are also ports. Still bitter over GRFS and AC3 so won't be buying their latest game.

Just appreciate that this map is large for GTA. That's all that matters.
