@gamerbum: HAHAHA, you actually interpreted this as "all PC Steam games will magically get series s and x console ports that will run on those consoles with no work required from any developer".

This simply means that instead of buying a game like Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox (and nobody is because Xb1 and series consoles make up like 8% of the total sales), you can now buy the Xbox version on Steam and VALVE get that cut now but at least its being played on an Xbox console at least, because a port was already made after all.

Why would this announcement mean that Guerilla Games are suddenly forced to figure out how they are going to get the Decima engine dumbed down massively for series s to be able to run it ???? AND then have to make a port of a game for that dreadful console too (again, developers don't want to be making games for Xbox consoles anymore, how does this change anything).

Xbox are in no position to force any developer to do something like this, they can't promise any kind of massive sales that will pay off, after such arduous, money and time wasting, work has been carried out.

And what a dull airship in X. Menu screen, fast travel to location, WOW amazing, Starfield levels of travel lol.

And they will most certainly run Activision's studios into the ground when they tell the COD teams to keep putting games out every year but you are now bringing your games to Switch and 15 more cloud platforms............... oh and we are laying of another 20% of your workforce that was to get this done. This should not affect the development cycle of these games WHATSOEVER.

@nintendians: So true. That's all anybody thought it was that came into store when asking about it. They thought the screen pad was a new addon for the Wii, not a 350 to 400 quid console depending on if you wanted the one with the real game controller. They turned around, walked out and that's why the Wii U was a flop.

Hard to believe that only a year later the PS4 launched at 400 quid too.
