Since I assume people will put many older bands up here, I'm going to go with some contemporary stuff that I believe is worthy of such a title and within a wider range of genres.

1. Margot and the Nuclear So and So's

2. Brand New

3. Pennywise (they are a bit older yes, but a great punk band)

4. Incubus

5. Augustana

I say he should be with Malon. Saria is the type of person that turns into a godly person, and she will always be with him. He no doubt loves Saria, but Malon is his girl.

I love all of the sub-genre's of RPGs... they all rock! You can't deny games like the Legend of Zelda series, with some RPG elements, helped shaped gaming through it's entirety. Man, Zelda II: Th Adveture's of Link was an all out side scrolling RPG! I have almost every Legend of Zelda (not all on their original systems; Zelda 1 and 2 on the LoZ collector's disc for the GameCube), except for a few on the hand helds, but they are all awesome, and I can't wait for the Twilight Princess to come out! There area lot of other RPGs, some your regular RPGs, some not. The Harvest Moon series took much of my time, especially HM 64, and HM GBC. I also have Friends of MIneral Town for the GBA, and A Wonderful Life for the Cube. I'm trying to find the one for the PSOne, and I've pre-ordered Magical Mirror, the New Harvest Moon for the Cube, and wil probably get the DS one too! I also love the Tales series! I just got Tales of Phantasia on the GBA; never before released in the U.S. I also have Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube. The Dragon Warrior series is great with DW I, II, and III on the GBC, as well as the DW Monster games for the GBC as well. I need to get Dragon Quest VIII, but alas... I still don't have a PS2... I need to get that system! Final Fantasy, though, is some of the best you can get. I have every FInal Fantasy (not al on their parent system; most on the GBA and PSOne), even X, and I don't even have a PS2, but I can't wait to get one so I can play X, X-2, maybe XI, and definately XII. Let's see... other RPGs... Lufia for the GBC was a good one (not exactly sure of the name). Hey... you can't sip out on Pokemon! That "Gotta catch 'em all" craze really helped shape the industry, I believe. Between my brother and I, we have all of the portable ones, as well as Pokemon Staduim 1 and 2 for the N64. The newer ones are losing their appeal though. I only have one SaGa game, and that's Final Fantasy Legend 2 (I think that's the name). Haven't really played it though. Some great, and underrated RPGs for the GameCube are Skies of Arcadia (orignally on the Dreamcast) and Baiten Kaitos. Legend of Heroes and Popolocrois are also great RPGs for the PSP. I just love RPGs, and feel like I have to get them all... that's why I need to get a PS2 soon... I will probably once FF XII comes out... or maybe get a PS3... we'll see. In regards to the second question, what is an RPG, I would say it is a very broad genre. Role Playing Game, meaning you assume the role of someone else... that's just about every game you play! But, I would say what makes a Role Playng Game a true "RPG" is a couple things. For one, there has to be some kind of building system where you strengthen your characters somehow, whether with upgrading weapons or health, most likely stats for your character. There doesn't neccessarily have to be a party (Dragon Warrior I), but most newer ones do have some sort of a party system. And, I would say paramount to all other things (although some kind of stat building is very important) is a storyline. RPGs, in my opinion, are true graphic novels, for they tell a story that you, yourself, plays out. This can be said for a lot of games, "Oh, it has a great story," but a true RPG has a timeles story... one that covers everything from past to present, much like how Shakespeare's themes and plays, and how they still make sense in today's society. If a game changes you, or makes you think differently about the world, that is a true role playing game, because you changed yourself, your role, and, maybe, even your own destiny...

I love the Zora's, but that's just because I love the water and the ocean. The Deku Scrubs are pretty cool though, but the Zora's rule! Now where's that Zora rock band... they need some cds or something! Hey, I'd buy 'em...
