@Rotondi @Syrlink @ajay1708 -Yeah it was something really special about Mario 64. I didn't even own a 64, the 1st time i saw it was at a friends house and i instantly fell in love with it. One of the top 5 best games ever in my opinion.
@Rotondi I agree with you there, but i think it has more to do with a shift in developer creativity. Heck you could even through in the Mega Man Series, Crash Bandicoot, Street Fighter and even Tomb raider 1 and 2 to name a few. Those were complete games and everything they were meant to be so it didn't leave you wanting for more. Nowadays with a lot of games you don't even know if it's worth the money they're asking for. That's why indies are becoming such a big deal now.
You could even say that Mario 64 was the anchor for 3D games. That game was very special in it's own right and even if you play it today it will bring you back to them N64/PS1 days.
People say the consoles launch games look like garbage but what do you expect, it's the way launches have always been. In my opinion I think the games look good. Not all that next gen-ish but pretty good.
Every time I turn around Microsoft is in a position where they have to explain themselves and defend the Xbox One. Those are not good signs and what we call red flags.
