PS Now has the most market share and makes the most money. They must be doing something right. Probably the fact they have games people want to play.

Instead of gamepass which has nothing worth playing except Forza Horizon 4.

Sorry bro, but you are in the minority. Gamepass sucks compared to PSNow.

Then that's good news, I'd be happy if they added their big exclusives games on the service as well, though, I don't think that'd hurt console sales at all.

I just purchased (new) an Xbox One S yesterday at a crazy deal (1tb, 30-day Gold + Gears of War 4 at € 150) that I couldn't pass up and I'm honestly postively surprised by this console, despite all my prejudice against Microsoft for their business strategies, namely lack of exclusives.

I also got Metal Gear Rising for free through free with Gold and subscribed for GamePass at €1. That, and the Play Anywhere feature is actually neat.

I've been playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider through GamePass and it runs very smoothly and even if the game is supposedly running at 900p, I really hardly notice that on my full-hd TV.

Big pro is also that the console runs super quiet.

It may not churn out as many exclusives as Nintendo and Sony, but I'm having a very positive impression about this system so far!

Meanwhile Sony is offering PS NOW also on Pc, which I initially was very excited about, at roughly €15 per month, to play games in streaming at 720p and not including exclusive titles such as God of War, Uncharted 4, Spiderman. I mean, how is this service, at this cost, going to attract a large audience and be successful?

The Navi architecture is aimed at mid-range gpu's, so by those specs it won't be able to outperform the current best rigs.

Pc is the best choice for me, but an Xbox One S bunlded with Gears of War 4 + 1 month Gold free at €150 was a heck of a deal, so I ended up buying one yesterday and loving the GamePass feature a lot. Also the Play Anywhere feature is neat.

I'll buy a PS4 down the line when it's less expensive.

No, cause only a small part of revenue comes from hardware sales. Selling services on the other hand is where it is at and if you can get your services to as many platforms as possible, then cash flow will be huge.

Microsoft has simply embraced modern times, while Nintendo and Sony rely on more in-home strategies, even tho this latter is also moving towards Microsoft's idea of bringing services on multiple platforms, especially now with their global effort on PS Now.

We're slowly but steadly stepping into the Netflix era of gaming.

I've just played GTA V on Pc - after having completed it on console - and what impressed me the most was not the graphics, but the framerate, which I feel makes the whole experience dramatically better.

I believe that graphics are no more the main factor to wow and attract gamers and that there will not most likely be a major graphical leap next gen.

Also, seeing how most people nowadays are accustomed to content in 60fps, be it videos shot with the smartphone camera, YouTube videos and so on..., it only makes sense that the next gen of gaming will focus on performance, read 60fps, as the main selling point, as framerate really can be a game changer and it does show both in the perception and look of a video game.

I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter as well

This game tried to achieve way too much than what most current hardware can handle. It's a counterproductive approach which some devs still fail to understand.

@philspencer: I'll actually answer your question instead of assuming you're a troll like everyone else.

I actually don't think a computer can match a game console in terms of value and performance. This goes for any console compared to a gaming PC.

I paid a lot for a decent PC...and it still can't play most games that well. PC games are clunky and tedious asf.

You shouldn't have to have to upgrade your game system for each and every damn game. They should all just work on it. And that only happens on a game console where the lines are drawn in the sand and the games all have to be within system specs.

Why do you need to upgrade for each and every damn game? I got an rx 570 on one Pc and a 1050 ti on a laptop and I don't see the need for an upgrade. Sure games on Pc are more prone to bugs and problematics, but nothing major really. I play mostly multiplats and I don't understand what you mean by clunky and tedious; those are the same games that are on consoles.

Consoles do well in terms of optimization and performance being closed plaforms so devs can work within these limits, but that doesn't mean that Pc gaming is not a viable option.

To me Pc gaming has big pros that at times can become cons, that is being an open platform, thanks to that you can have a lot of choice in terms of hardware and software options, including free online and ridiculous low prices for games which is the reason why I buy multiplats on Pc in the first place. This fact leads to more issues than on a console, therefore tinkering and troubleshooting are sometimes required, which are the only cons I can think of.
