Picking this one up for my PS4. It might be unfair with all the hours of Titanfall 1 I've played. I just remember the PS4 fan boys talking trash about Titan fall on the Xbox One. So a few weeks of laying the smack down on some noobs sounds like a good time.
DLC is fantastic when it's done like The Witcher 3 and Halo 5. Give away good free additional content that didn't fit within your regular development time frame. It keeps people interested until you release a big purchase worthy add on. Plus free stuff builds fan loyalty.
If this game is multiplayer only a lot of Playstation fans will be turned off from it. Lack of a solo campaign made it so many players never experienced how great Titanfall is. I hope people with hectic lives can play a version with a pause button.
Wow this should be the killer app for the PS4 but as usual the series is just kind of meh. Why do they keep supporting this franchise and allowing mediocrity. Come on Sony don't make us wait until 2015 for an exclusive that makes the PS4 worth the money.
Makes sense since PC gamers are Microsoft games. PC and Xbox offer different play experiences but Microsoft still supports (and receives royalties from) both platforms.
This idea that indie titles are the heartbeat of gaming and AAA titles are less profitable than micro transaction games is scary. I miss the idea that games were a profound cultural medium like film or books. This indies first idea takes games back to what mainstream always told us they were toys. I don't like the idea that even more people will look at our favorite hobby like its a fad. When you try to explain the story of a game like The Last of Us and they look at you like you spend all your time with a Furby or tomogochi. Portable games are fine for the morning commute, but it would be nice to have some true epic games you can play on the go. If I get stuck at the airport or in traffic it would be nice to get a chunk of a longer title enjoyed. Like a book on tape the game should be waiting for you when you have the need and the time for it. I hope Sony finds a way of bringing more meaningful experiences to their handheld.
This Destiny news kind of disproves what people on these forums have been shouting about for years now. Activision (supposed evil company) is investing a huge amount of money into a new IP (not just releasing a sequel). A highly anticipated, next gen, multiplayer experience is coming to consoles possibly exclusively and if not way before PC. A good portion of the royalties are going directly to Xbox and PS4 so any chance of bankruptcy is slim to none. Thank god we have companies like Activision and EA to keep this industry alive and we get something that isn't "a one trick pony" of a indie title. I am glad to be a gamer with great stuff like this coming down the road.
