He cited unexpected difficulties in the development process such as the transition to work-from-home due to the pandemic.

How did the pandemic even remotely affect the overall nature of the game? It's funny how everyone keeps blaming things on working from home when their very idea of the game they were trying to make was bad from the beginning. Avengers could have been an amazing campaign with separate multiplayer, but nope, they ruined both trying to mesh them together.

@werebearr: Yet none of this money will really go to LGBTQ+ people in those countries, and these companies who talk about fighting for them will not even talk about this stuff in those countries or change their social media pictures etc over there.

It's amazing how people think paying money to charities and these organizations that say they are fighting to improve things in society actually works.

I really don't understand how Sony and Microsoft run their stores so well despite the lack of any proper refund policy. It's criminal that you only get refunds if you haven't even downloaded the game, at least here in India. A huge advantage for PC gaming that all the major stores offer refunds, though companies like Ubisoft still have the "if you download, you can't refund" policy.

@jesterofbass: Haha, this isn't the first time. Back in 2012, they released AC III first and I started playing it, and then they released Far Cry 3 a month later which turned out to be so surprisingly good and I forgot all about AC III. Granted, I had already purchased both so they didn't lose a sale there, but it does seem odd to launch different titles around the same time and expect them all to do well.

Makes sense, pretty sure Origin isn't popular enough for EA to have as good sales as it will by having its games on Steam. Hopefully other developers, like Activision, will also see that and stop releasing Call of Duty and such games on just their stores. Or at least make their launchers better; it was a pain to download the new Call of Duty on Battlenet, which didn't go past 15 MB/s for the most part on my gigabit connection on which Epic's launcher often touches 100 MB/s (something not even Steam does).

How about just more interesting plots and stories, something Elder Scrolls could take inspiration for from many other RPGs? The writing is great at times with the quests and dialogue, but the barebones and simplistic overall plot always lets me down.

Seriously! Amazon India had a nice discount on the MSI Armor 1080 in August 2017 and I bought one. Turned out to be one of those units with coil whine, but I thought I'd go with it as I had no time for returns or talking to MSI then. I go online a few days back and check out the prices again, and the same card is almost 1.5x costlier. This cryptocurrency wave is sure going to make GPU purchases an issue.
