@EnochRoot69 @Jake518 @chrisbeaumont @watson27 Enoch, on a side note, Google "the problem of induction." This is not an insult and I'm not trying to be mean, but it might genuinely illuminate some things.
@Scarab83 @adamfp21 I don't AGREE with her opinions sometimes either. My point is I respect them and will never throw hate at her or Gamespot. If you haven't, thank you.
@amysogynist @adamfp21 The reasons why people play it I'm not worried about. I'm worried about people name-calling and making her feel terrible because they disagree with a review. And no, just because a game is sexist and it gets a 9 doesn't mean the reviewer is hypocritical. Duke Nukem, every other GTA game, all scored high, all offensive. They're remarkable achievements in spite of their offensiveness.
@amysogynist @adamfp21 I'd agree if this game was in a few arcades here and there. But this is a game millions of people spend hours interacting with. It doesn't matter what the game has done. That doesn't make it less offensive. As a woman she picked the salient concern of hers and reviewed on it. It also doesn't matter there are a plurality of other stereotypes in the game she didn't mention. The existence of bigotry does not mitigate nor justify further bigotry.
Please like to support a fair and honest reviewer who in no way deserves the vitriol tossed at her.
She needs to know there are people who trust, respect and admire her opinions on all things video games and would never disparage her nor Gamespot over merely disagreeing about a game's score.
@HellaStoned @qewretrytuyiuoi Reasons cannot be valid. Validity is a property of the arguments themselves that does not pertain to the premises of the arguments.
