I honestly didn't care that the game ended on a cliffhanger, and I don't mind yearly releases if the games that are put out are not half-a$$ed and are high quality. There's a big difference between AC's yearly releases and CoD's yearly releases.
I can't wait for this fascination with shooters to die down and be replaced with something more palatable. I am really excited for Assassin's Creed 3 though.
Call of Duty will eventually get to the point (if it hasn't already) where it only attracts the same crowd that plays Angry Birds. Gamers that are actually gamers will play something more substantial. Call of Duty is to video games as Transformers is to movies. The people who just want explosions and dumb stuff love it, but the people who know anything about a good video game/movie know it's bad.
I was pretty hyped up for this game, as I never have owned an XBOX and I'm thinking about getting one this fall, but after I've seen some gameplay, I was pretty underwhelmed, at least from the multiplayer aspect. Really, they had to incorporate kill streaks?
