@cyrezeraser: Yeah. Panning the camera at 30fps is hard to look at. I will even get motion sickness playing games at 30fps. As you said, 30fps is unacceptable in 2024.

And if the best a PS5 Pro can do is 60fps, then I definitely won't be buying one. There's really no point, because the Sony exclusives eventually come to PC. And when they're released on PC, the framerate is never capped.

@dougo13: I'm not a student, or starving. I just don't want to waste my money buying an inferior product. I learned my lesson last generation. I also don't want to reward Sony for pulling such a cash grab. I will never buy more than one console per generation. So I will always wait for the superior second edition console.

@fraga500: I know the feeling. You now feel cheated. Same thing happened to me with the PS4. I purchased my PS4 about a month before the PS4 PRO was announced. Made me hate my console. Live and learn. Next time don't ever buy Sony's first edition console. Always wait for the PRO edition. Unless of course money is not an issue for you. But it sure is for me.

@asultana121x: Apparently you can play those old games on PC with a PS3 emulator and get a framerate boost. This is what I heard. I've never tried a PS3 emulator, so I can't confirm it's actually true. But I do know it's true with some games on the Nintendo Dolphin emulator. There's even mods that improve on the original graphics. So you get a graphic and a framerate boost when playing certain games.

@cyrezeraser: 30FPS unplayable. And compared to 120FPS, 60FPS looks like shit.

Ideally, I like 165FPS. That's when gaming actually looks like real life in terms of smoothness.

BTW, aren't some console games still running at a broken 30FPS?

@stickemup: I would bet my life on Sony releasing a PRO edition, just like they did with the PS4. I bought my PS4 about a month before Sony announced they were going to release a PS4 PRO; needless to say, I was more than pissed off. And this is why I will NEVER again buy another first edition Sony console. I will always wait for the PRO edition to be released. I wish everyone would do the same. Then maybe the greedy executives at Sony will think twice before they pull that shit again. It really is a slap in the face to all their loyal first edition customers.

Greedy Sony expects people to buy two of their consoles each generation, otherwise suffer poor performance on all their new upcoming games.

@games100: I sure didn't. And when it does get released, it will likely be full of bugs. So the game won't be playable until late 2026.
