Rockstar's release of GTA for PC was a big upgrade over the console version. They deserved to charge full price, IMHO.

@bandog: 79 is pretty much an 8/10 on GameSpot's scale. This got a 9/10. Different people can easily give a game plus or minus a point.

Now line of sight issues - that's another matter and should be noted.

@godfather830: That's not the only thing he's slamming the game for. Some of that difficulty may come from poor hit detection - which isn't the way to make a game hard.

I'll be watching to see how well they do the port. KT's port of Dead or Alive was mighty weak, especially wrt the controller.

@sellingthings: I'm not sure any game would only be on X1X any time soon and probably not any time at all. All they have to do to make a game work fine on the X1 is to dumb down the graphics some. Then they can sell to a lot more people and they don't have to deal with people returning games because they bought one for the wrong version of the console.

Seriously, look at some of their buildings!

@donjuancorleone: It isn't out until the end of the year, is it? They'll probably wait until October, then toss games at you. (Assuming they have any to toss.) That will give you plenty of time to get it on your Christmas wish list.
