BL2 is my favorite looter shooter hands down. Not excited for this game yet though. Gameplay trailer barely had any gameplay at all. Doesn’t even look that much different than the previous games. 5 years to make this game, probably cause they crammed so many cutscenes. I’m happy it’ll finally be coming out but it doesn’t look like 5 years worth of work if there’s only 4 playable characters and nothing different gameplay wise.

The term crap is subjective. What makes a crap game is different for each person. If your criteria for what makes a crap game is the same as some other people then when those same people will be able to determine for you if a game is crap or not.
Me personally there are some things I really enjoy in video games and there are some things that I can overlook. What bothers one person may not bother me as much or at all. Therefore playing a game myself is the most reliable way to tell if i’ll like a game or not. Even if you’re simply watching a gameplay video with no commentary it may skew your perception because you aren’t going to play the game exactly the same way as the person in the video would play it.
An example would be in borderlands games there are many different builds and weapons and if the only videos you watched were someone using assault rifles you might think it’s generic because you’re a more charge in melee type of person.
I'm not sure what people here are even arguing for. If there was a for sure definition of what alpha male means I may be able to give an answer but I'm sure it differs from person to person what the ideal male is. To be honest an alpha male to me is a guy that leads by example, has a set of sound core beliefs that he doesn't waver on even under intense pressure to do so and protects those in need. These are good qualities in women as well.
I couldn't care less if a guy is able to sleep with whoever he wants or beat up whoever he wants because after everything is said and done I would like to be remembered by what I stood for by those that knew me.
I'm leaning towards this as a good thing. Censorship has always been a thing. Obviously everyone has a limit as to what needs to be censored or not. It swung one way and now it's swinging the other way. Eventually I see it swinging to anything goes in the future.
I played the first division. Nothing is memorable to me except running to cover and trying to out DPS shotgunners. Oh and getting mowed in the dark zone. Hopefully trying the new game can get me on board because it would be nice to actually have a loot shooter that worked.
@Ibacai: everyone wants to jump to conclusions these days sadly. Many hold up youtubers in high regard but they can easily have ulterior motives same as any reviewer or game website. It’s not until you hear both sides then that we should make any definitive judgments and even then we still need to be strong enough to admit when we make mistakes in our judgments.
I have fun when I accomplish challenges and use what I earn in the process to accomplish tougher challenges. This is how I have been having fun in video games since the late eighties. Added bonus for me when enemies bleed numbers, turns me on.
Was hoping the game would do alright but looks like that's never gonna happen, oh well. Getting plenty of enjoyment out of it myself but there are plenty of hangups that should cause you to think twice if you were even planning on getting the game in the first place.
Many see this as good news since anthem is a departure from what bioware is known for, but I like when studios try things out that they haven't done before. I'm a fan of guerilla but was curious to see how horizon zero Dawn turned out. If guerilla put out better killzone games they may have stuck with that but then there wouldn't have been Zero Dawn.
@Alucard_Prime: I can’t blame people for relying on reviews. I remember growing up and and just automatically being interested if a game got high scores, and not even checking out games with low scores. Angry joe seems to hit more things that I agree with with the exception of loading times and there being lazy NPCs. How that equals a 4/10 I have no idea but I guess people love to focus on the bad things more than the good. So far every hour I’ve played has been amazing and it’s mainly because there is such a huge world to explore and the gameplay is really fantastic. I don’t see how this game is seen as worse than division or destiny.
