They also didn't bring over Dragon Quest X. Ok...that would've only sold one more I guess...but I can still gripe >.>

@Juan1988 I look at it the same way. Remember when they went from Gameboy Advance to the DS, they allowed some backward compatibility by letting you play older games too. It was still a new generation of systems but the compatibility was there. Same thing from the DS to the 3DS. Not fully backward compatible but works with the previous generation. It's a smart way to do things. One is that there's already an existing library of games to choose from so people aren't waiting around ages for more to come out. Two is that a lot of people like physical copies of games and as such can trade in the system without losing the ability to play those older games. Three is that it's still progress going forward since the new device can handle games that are specifically designed for it.

@Pliger @lhardwick692 @sonicblast19

I prefer to keep things simpler. Which has more games I want to play and allows me to play it conveniently? For me, that's been the 3DS so far. I love turn-based RPGs and no other system has more of those that I can play where ever other than 3DS so far. I was going to get a Wii U if they had released Dragon Quest X (my favourite game series) but since they didn't, I'm sticking to the 3DS and PSP. I'll probably get a PS3 since that also has a lot of games I want to play but so far, everything else hasn't been worth the price for me. I'll be getting the New 3DS XL when it comes out because some of the games I really want to play will work better and one, Xenoblade Chronicles, is only supported on it. I'm also hoping they'll allow SNES games on a virtual console with the New 3DS eventually...
