The same thing happened to me, the thing fully synced 100% and then went on to the PS ID thing but the trophies weren't there and will not load or recognise that i have done them. If i remember rightly it came up with an error after it synced to 100%. This is with Dead Sapce though, not mw2.

Doom 4 would be Great but i'd prefer it if it was more like the original Dooms. They were legends i'd still play it today but i cant find it to install on my new P.C :(. Still if it was more like Doom 3 than The original Dooms it would still be legend especially if the BFG is in it :P.

I've never heard of a Wii overheating. The day i got the whole family totalled 10 hours on it lol and it didn't even feel hot. As well as that Nintendo make indestructible consoles. My N64 still works perfectly and that's been dropped so many times. My Wii has been knocked over more times than I like but it still works perfectly.

Horizontally because it is more stable. Vertically seems to get rid of the heat easier though. Also if you have it vertically the flat bit at the bottom looks dodgy.
