@Zombie8814: yeah i agree here, it's a very childish game. And you gotta play the normal difficulties to unlock the harder ones.
By the time you actually play the normal ones you are so bored of the gameplay there isn't a chance in hell any one is gonna waste more time in the game unless its the only game they own.
Not to mention the annoying online requirement even if you just want to play solo. Lost connection so many times and all the mobs respawned in an area, its total fun killer when you compare it to a much older game like Titan Quest which is very repetitive also, but in many ways better since you have none of this online requirements and it doesn't feel like a kids game.
It actually does feel like work a lot of the time... man that sluggish map and fast travel needed some work... felt like a game from 15 years ago how awkward to was implemented.
Killing trash mobs is fun as hell though, you feel like a lunatic just mowing down people. Just wish the areas were more varied, its all inside dark areas mostly, some street stuff but overall what you see in the first few minutes of the game doesn't change all that much.
@bobbo888: i agree. It's a game that looks interesting and you want to like it... but when you actually sit down and play it... it turns you off it pretty quickly.
I havent played an Oddworld game since the original xbox... i just remember it being really buggy and not getting very far in it.
The last oddworld I played was on the original Xbox. I got bored with it fast... the review here really reminds me of what turned me off the oddworld game I played back on the xbox.
I remember the AI and pathfinding beyond broken and frustrating making puzzles harder than they should have been. Seems crazy its 20 years later and they can't even make that work.
Not even allowed to have an opinion or make a joke in modern times. This site is no better though, if some random admin sees your post and disagrees, they'll either delete the message or ban you.
Well its his review and opinion... he shouldn't just give it a high score to please people if he didn't like the game. I always hate it when reviewers pad their reviews just to please fanboys.
The game is almost unplayable on those, it would be a crime against humanity to force a reviewer to play an already sluggish buggy game on those consoles... even the people who played it on PC have pulled half the hair out of their heads by now.
