SWTROS will be financially successful however it will not do records sales and it will not be ranked at the top of the SW films in terms of box office ticket sales b/c unlike with The Last Jedi, the fan base is aware of the political motivations of Kathleen Kennedy, Disney and to a lesser extent JJ Abrahams and thus are not going to be in line the night before but will instead wait until its released and the true extent of the damage the film does to the Star Wars universes is revealed.

What is most puzzling is how Kathleen "The Force Is Female' Kennedy is still making any executive decisions or being involved in any. Bob Iger is just as responsible for the failure of Star Wars under Disney's watch but Kathleen Kennedy is the one who is most directly responsible for The Last Jedi; for injecting identity politics into the film and allowing Rian Johnson to damage the Star Wars brand with his 'Kill of the Past' approach to the film. There was speculation that Kennedy's contract was recently renewed b/c they could not find anyone willing to take her job (because of how badly damaged the brand has become under her watch) and because of the fear of the backlash from the progressive left should they fire a female executive. Now its looking like as if Bob Iger is OK with her actions and if that's true its not that much of a surprise considering recent revelations regarding Disney's behind the scenes actions over the last 15 years, since Iger took over from Eisner. From accusations of cooking the Disney books to rumors of warehouses full of unsaleable Star Wars merchandise and for select Marvel titles (Captain Marvel) Disney has been run more like an organized syndicate then that which lead to the 'Disney Magic' that has been slowly fading away since Iger took control.

Thankfully Igers contract is up for renew in a few years and unless he pulls a miracle in that time I din;t see him getting renewed and based on on recent actions from him like the recent interview for is memoirs it looks like Iger is planning for a 2024 presidential run. Assuming Iger is out in a few years then there is hope, albeit slim hope, that Star Wars may yet be saved but it will take at least 5 years but it will be worth the wait as long as the Disney board hires someone who focuses on customer satisfaction and not being political correct.

Hideo Kojima - you have yet to let gamers down and your Death Stranding looks like a technical marvel, something that if we didn't know better we would think would require next gen consoles. That said I am concerned that what you have created is better termed as the perfect simulation for a post apocalyptic world suffering from what death stranding outlines then an interesting or fun game. Gamers typically want to escape reality and or have a sense of empowerment in games, this is why progression is so important in a games design, to give the player a feeling of empowerment. Death Stranding looks more like the kind of simulation that one would think was not possible on current gen console.

I will hold judgment until the game is released but I do hope you have more surprises for us with this game and that what has been shown/explained so far is only a part of the whole and so what awaits is an actual game and not an incredible simulation.

@lion2447: Death Stranding looks like a technical marvel built on an uninteresting game. The way I see it from what I have seen/read so far is this is more like a simulation in a future post apocalyptic North America and while that may make for a great simulation experience like an interactive movie it doesn't look like a good game but I could be wrong and if I am I will be happy to be wrong.

Pierce Brosnan, a former A-lister looking to score a few more roles before retiring so he's kiss Hollywoods back side to signal his support for its identity politics push. What a shame.

@jerusaelem: Reality does NOT make for good entertainment. Even so called Reality TV are often partially if not entirely fake. So no a feamle James Bond is NOT a good idea and like most attempts to inject identity politcis into a brand doing so will kill the brand/IP. But don;t let that stand in the way of need to signal your virtue

@batman90: That's easier said then done. When your you and have no dependents its not that hard to job swap but there comes a time when this is not that easy to do. Employees invest in their employer with their time just as employers invest in the employees. When employers don't respect their employees like they should and place the interest of shareholders over stakeholders they head down a path of ever narrowing options; forcing more and more unethical decisions. Its this kind of management style that allows unions to get a foothold and when that happens things get worse for everyone.

Things went to shit when the focus shifted away from the stakeholders, making customers happy while keeping employees happy because regardless of what investors think no business is going to operate without non-executive level employees. Providing customers with good products/services and retaining the best employees possible because they are respected and paid appropriately in turn creates profit that profits investors. Instead of being able to run a company this way fiduciary requirements force companies to place priority in the wrong place, the shareholders. This is what fragged the business world. If the focus were still on the stakeholders we'd all be better off.

Its impressive as long as you have a great persistent connection and as long as only a small number of p players are using it. Like anything else that requires high persistent bandwidth its only good until too many people start using it.

Its the same wet dream that Cloud Providers have been promoting for years; to get users to embrace the idea of putting all information into the cloud after all what bad could ever come from having all information in a place that is controlled by a very few?

Imagine if during the age of the written world (pre-digital storage) if every book, magazine (anything with written knowledge) were kept in libraries that were owned by private companies. What could possibly go wrong in that kind of centralized information scenario?

@Thanatos2k: And if they can't get more young girls interested in STEM field related careers then we can just start forcing them to do it . We can't let individual preferences, even those of women, destroy our idea of an quitable utopia even if means forcing people into careers they wouldn't choose themselves.

@Dissentioncc:Just let people do what interests them? Are you kidding? That kind of free choice is toxic to a society based on equitable outcome. Its just not realistic to let people choice what they want to do based on their interests. This must be forcibly managed by the state under the threat of imprisonment.
