I own the 32GB model, it was purchased near launch.

I use a USB 16GB flash drive, where I keep a few digital games, but every update, save and system file is inside the internal HDD. I highly doubt it's the flash drive's fault, it works fine with everything else...2 years and counting! The only corrupted file is the SSBU update, which I couldn't delete. It must be that file!

Anyway, I sent it for repair today so i'm hoping they'll fix it quickly...

Damn...the strangest thing happened to me, this morning...

So I turned on my Wii U, to play some smash, but an error message pops up saying "There is a problem with the Sytem Memory. For help, make a note of the error code and visit support.nintendo.com - Error 160-0103".

I did some research and it seems many people are having this issue. Nothing works as of now, deleting system and save files don't solve it and trying to delete the update only results in the same error message. Every other game I have works fine, the console only has problems loading Smash. I have a video of someone having the same exact problem i'm talking about:

Loading Video...

It's weird because i've played yesterday and it worked fine. It wasn't always turned on either, I did 3 playing sessions in total. I don't mean to cause panic or anything, but this is NOT an isolated issue. It's happening to many people and it's spreading, so everyone who plays Smash BE VERY CAREFUL! Do EVERYTHING you can to avoid possible file corruption:

- NEVER TURN OFF YOUR WII U WHILE IN THE GAME! Always close it, wait for the Wii U Menu and then turn it off.

- Never hook off your Wii U. If it's doing something, like deleting a file or updating or something, and it's taking longer than usual always wait for it to do something. It might be able to advance eventually, only if it doesn't you go ahead and unplug it.

- Blackouts cannot be predicted, but it's safe to say it can cause trouble xD

Wii U...you're great and all, you certainly have the best games by far, but your hardware is some of the worst i've ever seen :(

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Elgato does seem to have the more consistent reviews, and positive ones, so I might just get that one :D

Wasn't sure about it, sorry :(

I'm selling my Hauppauge HD PVR 2 to my best friend, so that we both have one so that we can both record and make videos on our channel.

My needs are great video quality, good sound quality and to be able to record as much systems as possible. Good price also helps :P

I've been doing alot of research, and I keep going between the Elgato and Avermedia capture cards. Elgato Game Capture HD seems to be the main choice by most people, but the Avermedia Live Gamer Portable apparently can record better video at basically the same price (30bitrate vs. 60bitrate) and even has a convenient PC-Free mode to record in an SD Card. The Avermedia Extremecap U3 has great quality, but on the official specs it says the minimum resolution it accepts is 640 x 480 so I don't think it works with older consoles.

If anyone could help me, i'd greatly appreciate it. I won't pay you though...need the money for the card :(

Ok i'm sorry if this thread has been done 375 times, but i'm post game and I want to have the best team I can possibly have because i'm just like that.

I have Destroceros, Dragamuffin, Scrapdragon, Stressy Plessie, and currently evolving Lumberwood, Bone Brigadier, Captain Whamtastic, Seed Sprite and Angelix. Some of them are TOTAL AWESOMENESS but some are kinda dissapointing me.

So i'd like you more experienced players to give me your opinion on which familiars are the best. If you can please give me a few picks on best melee, best healers and best mages.

Thank you for your time.

So we all noticed that capturing familiars is inspired on the pokemon series.

My question is if capturing an already evolved familiar is better/worse than capturing a non-evolved familiar and evolving it yourself? If the game's like pokemon in this aspect, then capturing a non-evolved one and evolve it yourself leads to better stats. But i'm not sure, and that's why i'm here...

Thank you for your time.

Ok I just got back from 2 hours of testing....and I must say i'm quite satisfied with the product for now =D

PS3 testing went brilliantly. I had trouble connecting it to the HDTV, but then I figured out I had to do each step in exact order and then it went fine. I put 720p on my PS3 settings since 1080p then screws up the output on the HDTV (which I expected), and I loved the recordings i've done. Great quality and sound :D
One thing I noticed is the contrast is a little off, it needs a little more contrast but I figured out you can change that on AcrShowBiz...

Then I went to test my Wii (main reason I wanted a PVR) and YES IT WORKED =D Like a charm actually, I thought I was going to have alot of trouble with it but it was just plug-and-play. I was speachless! I tested a Wii game and a few emulated games. All of it worked like a charm and the recordings were great =D I got synching problems with a Gamecube game I tested, but I know why it happened and it's not the PVR it's my Wii that can't run Gamecube games properly...

Then I tried using the component cable to record PS2, and unfortunately it didn't work. After trying simply using it to connect the PS2 to the TV, I realized the cable isn't even compatible with the PS2. So to record PS2 you really have to buy a component cable specifically for it. If it worked with the Wii, I don't see how it wouldn't with the PS2.

I had no trouble with the software or instalation. Pretty simple and straightforward. I really don't get why ArcShowBiz has such a lackluster editor, but that's okay I use another editor anyway.

All in all, everything went right and i'm very happy with the results =D

Thank you for your help Monsieur :D
