Alright, i find this funny but frustrating. My girlfriend and I are arguing how books and games compare to each other. We're trying to find arguments against each other. I'm telling my girlfriend how games can offer what a book does and MORE. What do u guys think? Here are her arguments.
1. a book has more depth and builds upon ur imagination
2. when ur looking at something(i.e. graphics in games) u dont imgaine it coz its already there
3. when u read a book it makes u picture hoiw a person place or thing could look like so thast why its different for each person whereas games each person sees the same thing its not unique in that way
4. movies and games dont build character profiles well
5. u play a game and u wont remeber it afterwards, u read a book and it comes back to you
6. there are more chances of picking up a good book than picking up a game with a solid story
7. u see actions games dont have a good stoy line but action within a book has a good storyline
8. games dont have those little unexpected twists at the end
9. a game is like a fairytale good when ur reading it but its a typical story line, typcial ending and typical complicaion
10. most people dont play games for the storyline
11. games arent advertised coz they ahve a good storyline they're advertised thru sex or violence
12. people dont go to buy a game because(mainly) it has a good storyline (Repeated point)
13. yea but a game doesnt imspire people to amke a change in their lives its doesnt raise awareness of issues happening around them in the world a game will not be abt a person whose suffering in afganistan
14. games' impact can only go so far games change to suit people, but books are written to change peple
15. a context does not mke a game thats the minor bit
