@uitravioience: Apparently, a leaker claimed that they have a complete PS5 and PC version that they are sitting on; which they were going to release, but of course they didn't. Lol Sony. Add Nintendo to that bag. They do that shit too.
@IMAHAPYHIPPO: while what you're saying is true, we don't get this constant media presence from Nintendo and Sony, objectively. In fact, we mostly get radio silence from Sony.
There's a marketing strategy definitely at play here, and it is clear it involves this presence. Think of the euphemisms you hear come from executives like "community engagement" and the sheer number of Xbox influencers (also the existence of the ambassador program) on social media. It's not an accident.
@pelvist: not really daring imo. They don't need the console brand to make money, as you said: PC, switch, and PlayStation, which have a much bigger base than Xbox, are alternatives. It's a business move that's got great potential for revenue and profits, but it has a drastic effect on the fanboys as you are witnessing on this forum.
They want more sales period. You can see signs that their marketing is changing to reflect this as well -- they just want you to buy games and services from them.
